Everybody's Guide to Natural ESP Is a genuinely good book and anyone interested in /x/ should give it a read.
Some of this other later books though are not so good.

You can have whatever doubts you want but there is no point making up a theory of your own with nothing to back it up.
It doesn’t work that way at all and you could just check the literature or videos from any of the more well known remote viewers before just making random assertions.
Leaving your made up theory aside there have been some attempts to remote viewers others consciousness. Lynn Buchanan (one of the military remote viewers who oddly enough has some training from Ingo Swann) describes this. Seems you can get deeply drawn into their personality if his accounts are accurate. There are also attempts to manipulate others actions - remote influencing. But I digress.
