as far as I'm aware, never been to the astral (at least consciously and/or remember) nor have I summoned anything, but I have had a few companions (assuming I wasn't hallucinating or imagination running wild, and I don't think ever more than one at a time. So this "unknown", from what I remember (our first meeting happened a while ago, like 2009-2010-ish), she just showed up one night. She hung around for a while before leaving, and when she left, I'm not sure what took her place...a "hell hound", a lion, or something of that shape and "feeling" which remained for the rest of the night, or at least until I fell asleep.
Some time the next day, or night, she returned. I don't remember when exactly I asked for a name, that first meeting or the next day or a few days later, but the reply was multiple names, at least three, but all were of the same being or cognates thereof, with the ones I remember being: Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte.

I'm not sure how a deity's presence is supposed to feel, but hers never felt overpowering or intimidating, but it was obvious she had some “age” and “power” to her. Weird experience for me:

I fell asleep and started dreaming too early. I felt myself being transported to some large building. I think the surrounding landscape looked like Orlando during a sunset, a very flat American city is what I'm trying to paint.
