I would be perfectly fine with it if the story actually focused on Asa and Yoru's relationship for a change, if they preserved their dynamic from Justice where Yoru urges Asa to be more devil-like, be violent and selfish to get what she really wants and stop making excuses.

In the actual Fight Club, the dynamic is perfect because the story is ENTIRELY about Narrator and Tyler's relationship, through the Narrator's eyes we uncover Tyler's mysteries, where he lives, what he does for a living, his ideals, his danger...only for it to be the Narrator himself, which is brilliant.

Part 2 doesn't do anything near that with Asa and Yoru's relationship because for some ungodly reason, Fujimoto decided to sideline their relationship. Their relationship has a steady progression from volumes 12-14 up until the beginning of Falling:
In Justice, Yoru possesses detachment from human values and can read Asa's mind perfectly, so she cuts through Asa's lies, she tells her that she doesn't reeeally care about the people she hurt and that she should just kill her bullies and her best friend, with Asa denying and avoiding it at every turn, dismissing it as "scary stuff she doesn't want to think about".
In Aquarium this is put on a hold for us to see how Asa behaves without the influence of an evil devil on her head, how even cornered she can't drive herself to hurt another for her own gain.
Then in Falling their relationship reaches a breaking point, Yoru is frustrated at Asa's disobedience for her own survival and Asa can't trust Yoru because she knows nothing about her and she is abusive.

And then it all just...stops.
The next time we see them Asa and Yoru are suddenly friends when none of the points above were ever addressed, Asa is missing 2/3 of her character and the story focuses completely on their obsession with Chainsaw Man/Denji, we're just left to assume that Asa is just that naive.

Just finished reading Sakamoto Days. Can someone explain why there's multiple Discount Kobeni's, Dollar Store Kishibe's, one Ali Express Yoshida, and multiple scenes plagiarized from CSM Part 1? The characters even comment how every time Discount Genos uses his psychic powers a whole year of his life span should be stripped from him, just like with Aki. There's even a male Togata with a camera running around. Call me crazy but I'm convinced a lot has been taken from Fujimoto here.

Personality wise there's also similarities, both characters tend to info-dump and warn the MC of impending dangers, or scold them of foolish decisions. The difference is that Yoshida has a more versatile personality and isn't just a poker-faced smiling man, whereas Nagumo is always cheery and even goofy most of the time. Nagumo was absolutely inspired by Yoshida, but as is always the case he isn't a total carbon copy of the character.

Honestly part2 has a lot of potential to address certain themes but it doesn't even try to go beyond the surface level. We literally have a made up (chainsaw) church but we just see a couple of kids being manipulated like retards and we move into the next random shit. Our protagonist Denji barely interacts with this concept, and with this people. He probably already forgot who Miri is or that the CSM church existed.

Death devil is this lazy "god" exerting her control over Denjis life and over all these insignificant humans, it sounds like an interesting premise but the execution it is so bad and dull that it really isn't. Asa also doesn't question anything around her really, she just follows the path that Death made for her.

Oh well what can I say at this point. Fire Punch did all this shit waaay better than part2.
