Just posting pictures for the anon from last week who was curious about my quattro cel

So the cel had no holes so that it was able to be moved up and down for the scene because it was a longer still frame essentially. I only have one of the mouths used which is why you'll see the "end" because the mouths were the only things that move the body and the hand were static and the hand was drawn longer so that it could just be moved up rather than drawing separate frames for each time the hand moved.

Additionally my cell is in the process of decomposition unfortunately. You can look it up as vinegar syndrome. I have tried to migrate some of that by putting it in the frame and not keeping it near other cels. You can't really stop the decomposition but you can try to keep it in good condition so it is a bit wrinkly.

some information is here even though they are trying to sell a product. I beleive mine was kept in a humid old japanese house. It doesn't smell like vinegar anymore after putting it in the frame and surrounding it with breathable papers. mine has the oils and wrinkles. eventually it will look worse over time. Yes. It's one of those stories with a very big cast and everyone is so likable that it feels very comfy and enjoyable. Unfortunately the anime skips a lot and some episodes look very cheap. Read the manga instead.

Oh, and based author draws many fanservicey pictures and short comics on Twitter. There's an account translating all of them into English so you can read all of them. There's also a lot of shipping material in the manga itself, both canon and fanservice (the MC and one of the male teachers were each other's first love for instance). From a fujo perspective, it's a very rewarding series. Would definitely recommend.

I saw this last thread and I read a bit of 3 and 4. I think I picked up 2 at some point but dropped it for whatever reason, I only remembered it existed after reading the summary.
Like the Beast feels very rushed, I'm surprised it has more than 10 volumes. The early chapters feel very empty because there is no proper buildup or development. The mangaka just wants to rush to the sex as soon as she can, but then ommits the sex scenes lmao. I haven't read past Vol. 1 but I like to think it improves on that.
Love in the Palm... is ok. I'm pretty sure there's a similar BL where an ojisan meets a deaf guy because the former's cat got into the latter's apartment.
I want to read 2 and 5 this week and see how they do, especially 5 since I like historical series.
So far, 2/5 of this list have been typical fluff BL, so I assume the rest will be the same.

I don't remember how I felt when I read it the 1st time versus my 5th, but I see it as him going through a rollercoaster that eventually gets easier to move on and move up in life. It feels very true to life, as progress is rarely ever linear. Jeremy falling behind at times was accompanied by him getting back up and overall improving his situation. I mean, he was prostituting himself, impoverished and malnourished, while refusing to get help beforehand. Him moving on to getting counselling and taking control over his sexuality, while also having a healthier relationship with food is a big step up. I don't call this a lost cause imo.

And maybe it's because I read it to the end, but it's hard to see the work as simply misery porn. It showed the depths of depravity, but it also showed a lot of humanity over the course of the manga too. Again, it still doesn't portray humanity as sunshine and rainbows, but it doesn't make you completely lose hope.
