Does it matter? It's already happened. GT didn't involve Toriyama, the pre-BoG movies didn't, the Super manga did somewhat but it's clear that a lot of specifics were driven by Toyotaro more than Toriyama himself, and Super Hero is so mindless that it feels like a 10 year old fan in 1997 could have come up with it on his own.

I liked Daima well enough but it feels so discontinuous with Super that it might as well be a fresh start of its own. Why not?

You know, I always knew it was silly to say Cooler 2, Android 13 and Broly 1 all took place during the 9 days between Goku leaving the Room of Spirit and Time and the Cell Games because him and Gohan are meant to be in a permanent state of Super Saiyan there, but I never really thought about how silly it is.

The sequence of events during those 9 days are this:

>Cell fights the army and Goku goes to Namek to get Dende
>Goku goes on a Dragon Ball hunt and is implied to spend the remaining week collecting them

So what are the events of those movies?

Cooler 2:
>The gang travels to New Namek in a spaceship after Dende is already instated as god
>The exact location of New Namek is unknown but it took Goku six days to go to old Namek and that was considered relatively close in cosmic terms

Android 13:

Android 13 might fit since the implication is that it all happens in just one day but how are Gohan and Kuririn healed by the time of the Cell games and the computer still being active is a huge problem no matter what.

He contributed character designs and story ideas to various things here and there, but manga was where he was most involved. And it's not like he was entirely 100% responsible for the manga either. His editors influenced his work. Kondo wanted more action so the sense of scale of the story increased from the time Gohan appeared. Torishima would infamously nag at him even after moving on from being his editor. Takeda was super lenient and Boo in turn was much more comedic as an arc. How much of Dragon Ball is truly Toriyama, especially after the original manga ended? They're so eager to put "Original Work: Akira Toriyama" on a product like the author's stamp of approval.

I'm also sure there are people out there who are capable of making something with the Dragon Ball name that is better than Super, Daima, and GT, but because it doesn't have Toriyama's name, it will be seen as illegitimate, as if Heroes was more legitimate just because it existed while Toriyama was alive.

The original DB and Z manga are the only true canon. From there, you get three different timelines branching out: GT, Super, and Daima. Each is its own separate continuity. GT is a follow-up to the Z anime so it falls into Toei canon with the movies and filler. Super and Daima both come from Toriyama, but they're separate sequel takes branching out from the manga's end.

If I had to put Heroes and Xenoverse into the canon tree, I'd do it like this: Xenoverse sits underneath everything as the Time Patrol making sure the DB, Z, GT, Super, and Daima timelines all exist as separate branches. Then Heroes sits above it all, pulling from every timeline for crossover.
