Sure there's genetics, but when I drink I also go big, but I have yet to feel a hangover. So far alcohol dehydrates you, lowers your glucose, irritates your stomach, and lowers (don't quote me on that) your vit C levels. So drinking plenty of sweet lemonade plus sodium bicarbonate (to kill reflux) basically nulls the following hangover. Sure you will be tired from the lack of sleep, but not hungover.
