Everything with Rocks flashback is a set up for Blackbeard finally making his move. He told Imu he would be back one day. Its not every day Imu would show himself in public like this

Feels like the one who will play a key role in defeating Imu is Morgans ironically. I thought the Dragon is useless posting was mostly memeing because from how little we know of the revolutionaries activities it can come off that way. Like why would the leader of a revolution that's been going for decades personally risk his own life to save one of his captured commanders, that would have been retarded. Sure they could have had some small group mount a rescue but I doubt they need his permission to do that.

I think Garp could be redeemed if the Marines had some code about protecting people cause then you could have a case where Garp sides with Dragon/Luffy without necessarily betraying his ideals. But the existence of the Marines is to enforce the World Government’s and punish what they deem evil so he’s kind of stuck there. I guess Garp’s thing is “my justice” but that doesn’t really absolve him and Fujitora has already done that.

That's the point I made, they DON'T limit him because he has the "hero of marines" token, they explicitly say this on the manga, he does a lot of wild shit from the navys POV and openly mocks CDs but he's allowed to because of his status.
Being a marine allows him to do all this while being mostly free while also flying under the banner of the navy, meaning that all he does is sanctioned and he has jurisdiction above other petty marines doing dumb shit compared to, for example, him going solo and liberating an island just for the island to get re-enslaved by the navy 2 days later.
