People who's waifu is Reze are more a fan of the idea of Reze rather than her actual character. eze has no actual personality that is known to us. All we see from her is an act. Let’s not forget she was essentially trained as an agent for the Soviet Union to learn how to fake her emotions in order to properly manipulate people.
Now, let me address this first, yes she does show actual sincerity. She does genuinely love Denji, but loving someone isn’t a personality trait. It can be indicative of one’s personality, but so far, Reze, Asa (and if you wanna make a reach, Power) have shown romantic interest in Denji. These are 2 (or 3) vastly different people who all share one commonality.
Back to my main point, people are in love with the facade. The charade. The deception. How purposefully cute and open Reze was to Denji in order to further manipulate him and get into his head to eventually kill him. Even when Reze and Denji are fighting, she still shows a fake personality, trying to lower his guard before Aki snaps him out of it.
There is an idea of Reze. An idea of her that might be a cute and pixie dream girl-esque girl, but none of it can be taken as 100% certain. Which makes sense, because she was quite literally trained to be every archetype of girl, and she’d adopt the personality of whichever one gels the most with the person she’s trying to manipulate and eventually assassinate. Everyone has fallen for her trap, including many readers/watchers.
People are falling for the idea of the perfect girl that Reze COULD be, (in other words, the idea of Reze) not the girl she ACTUALLY IS.
