Got home from work and I was petting my cat wife, and I felt this weird, small bump on her neck. She doesn't wince in pain or anything when I touch it, but I definitely don't recall feeling it on her this morning. Any idea what it could be? She's a senior, maybe it's something in relation to age?

Nah, she's strictly indoor. I had some a pest control service come by for routine bug spraying around the outside and inside of my house recently too, but that's a good point anon. One of those fuckers could have still come in somehow.

I was thinking too, she likes to rub her face/neck against my glasses. The same area of neck where the bump is has always been an itchy spot for her too, like for years. Since she's older, maybe the itching caused some sort of injury? The skin doesn't look broken or irritated though. I could be worrying too much, but I can't help it. Thankfully her behavior is the same and she's eating just fine.

A big orange semi-feral one is has been a major feature in my neighborhood for about 5 years. One of my neighbors dubbed him Henry VIII, but I call him Kitler for shitting in my garden, for a time; There's a black one I see from time to time, at night.
