Realistically, what are you even supposed to do at this point? Historically animation existed before television popularized it in theaters, but now both theaters and television are dying. And you can't just go to the biggest streaming platforms now and say "Hey, I want my content on here" Digital Circus tried to do that but but something seemingly went wrong behind the scenes and they can't even get any new episodes up now. And Vivzie only managed to get Hazbin on Amazon by letting them own it. Youtube was the realistic option for indie animation for awhile, but now it seems like the only way to actually succeed as an indie creator is either complying with youtube's terms of service to make a heavily sanitized kiddie show, or going out of your way to make your own video platform to host your own content, but that comes at the possibility of being a major failure unless you're able to heavily advertise it everywhere on every platform, and that's assuming you have the funds to create a secure website, run an ad campaign, and are already successful, and a majority of indie creators don't have that.
