Both having the ability to absorb or manipulate souls makes it so they're not immediately hard locked by the mechanics of each respective world

Dovakhiin is a fair bit more durable, has easier access to healing and shouts as a whole give abilities that aren't quite matched in universe, but he "is" in grave danger since he can't respawn like the Chosen Undead

Meanwhile the Chosen Undead could use his resurrection fairly well to acquire powerful items and use them cleverly but at the same time, necromancers exist in TES and he would eventually reach people who could reasonably have countermeasures, not to mention getting stuck in a location or just being tossed in prison

All in all, it's a genuine fun thought experiment

I meant to type "Batman vs. Spider-mans opponents". So basically the character ends up replacing their DB matchup in the latter's verse and have to deal with their opponents so in case of Sonic vs. Mario, Mario would have to deal with Eggman and Sonic with Bowser. As for equipment, I'd say go what they usually have on them with broad mind. Sonic has to gather Chaos Emeralds often enough that I could see him having them on his person randomly but not having some niche items he only uses in one game for example

Shigaraki vs Mahito.
Idle Transfiguration, doesn't randomly select one soul to transform like they seem to imply, it effects every soul Mahito touches/uses his Domain on (as seen during his fight against Yuji and Todo). The only reason that Mahito couldn't use it on Yuji was because he was Sukuna's host and Sukuna is just that strong that he could fuck up Mahito when he came into contact with his soul, which isn't somthing that should be replicated with vestiges.
Using Idle Transfiguration and opening his Domain should realistically be an insta-win for Mahito, but Shigaraki is so much faster, stronger and has as a more powerful way to destroy Mahito's soul with Decay that if you ran the fight 100 times, Shigaraki would still win the majority of them.
It's still one of the best episode's they've done

I think that Dovahkiin hard stops at Seath, it isn't really something you can prepare for nor something you would assume would happen. Additionally, the lack of usable currency to use comes with its own concerns, like food supply.
Chosen Undead is probably an eldritch horror of some kind given the whole soul vacuum isn't something that can be turned off.
And seeing as spells are more or less learnable by anyone in the setting, CU will end up a lot better equipped. Not just that, but they will have genuine people to talk to and interact with beyond mere transaction.
The only issue for CU is how to deal with Alduin. If it weren't for the time crunch, then the CU could just spend a life time learning Dragonshouts from the Greybeards. But the time crunch is there, if you wanted to take a dip into the more esoteric parts of Elder Scrolls, then it could be possible for CU to reach a place where time is slow enough that CU could learn.

Cold depends, he seems to rely a lot on environmental trapping like slickened floors, ice barricades, and such to trip up flash, then moves onto properly freezing him in place. If you give Sonic the Chaos Emeralds and he has a mission to take out Bowser, then he should be able to do it. But if he is being as carefree as he normally is, then Bowser has plenty an opportunity to plan for Sonic.
Mario vs Eggman is a bit more dire for the plumber. Mario typically doesn't play around much in a fight, but not having a built in method for mid air mobility leaves him a lot more limited. If you give him his power ups, then he could probably beat Eggman.

You didn't play undertale. Gaster never created UT's world. He was alive and a normal person while being in it and died within sometime after. You can only kind of make this argument with DR with post-anomaly Gaster.
Chara never defeated the strongest version of Frisk either (True Pacifist Frisk) with the higher feats, only genocide, so Chara's true strength is headcanoning frisk is always at 100%. Being able to reset your death doesn't mean controlling the verse either.

As for learning spells, that's tricky because Dark Souls and Elder Scrolls have different methods of abstracting attributes. Is the Dragonborn capable of raising intellect or just magical proficiency? Likewise, what would it even mean to increase one's faith in order to wield miracles?
Either way, CU has a much easier time on the journey given the lack of inherently hostile environment.

As someone who thinks Bardock vs Omni-Man is closer or even in Bardock's favor, yeah I don't like the King Vegeta or Namek travel examples that they used.
My main reason for thinking Bardock stands a better chance than Death Battle gave him is that I think he has better passion for battle and general battle instinct. Nolan might have the time advantage when it comes to experience, but he really is prone to using his stats only for a fight.

There isn't even really filler to this. Toriyama himself watched the anime on a weekly basis, worked with anime staff on writing original content and praised the anime for how it brought his manga to live. Along with that in a context like Death Battle they don't factor in this distinction often. Toei feats are still feats to them.

Point is, Dragon Ball has very clearly illustrated these kinds of feats visually. Which adds credence to people who claim DB characters can destroy galaxies, universes and even breach into higher dimensions of power.

No. They get more unstable as they travel. This is spelled out to you if you actually bother paying attention. Goku was trying to match Beerus' blows to negate the shockwaves, which caused them to be weaker at their initial impact. It's then with the final clash that he perfects it and negates the shockwaves entirely.

Goku can't survive without oxygen. Beerus later shows he doesn't give a fuck about nuking universes by fighting Champa and he isn't suicidal. We also see characters exist in the void Zeno creates by nuking the multiverse with no issue.
