Uhh, honestly I just saw The Boiled One in the previous thread and it reminded me to check if Dragon Ball The Others had gotten an update yet or not.
It is basically limited animatic series that adapts the notion of Alternates (a la Mandela Catalogue) but with Dragon Ball elements.
Deadites are so far just emanated beings created from Garlic Jr breaking free from the Dead Zone during the filler arc. They take the form of characters that are (meta or in universe) similar in appearance to the cast. Like Goku has Deadites that look like Turles, Blackmasu, Goten, etc.
The main threat is that they absorb your abilities, even down to learned skills, preventing you from performing them anymore. Then they beat you down until they can absorb you fully.
But they also aren't inherently evil either, most of them are doing it out of a profound emptiness and lack of personhood.
So like Superman would have all sorts of Deadites based on his in-setting copycats and lookalikes. Gets even more wild if you want to consider things like Omni-Man and the Plutonian.
That's enough rambling, it is a neat little series and a demonstration that you can evolve past your inspirations to make something unique.

Started reading Gachiakuta. Not really sure what the power cap of the setting will end up being, but Rudo (at least early on) could be a good opponent for Shirou Emiya.
Both are stuff obsessed people who have a power related to understand an object (Emiya understands the mechanics and physical qualities, Rudo understands the spiritual and purpose qualities), both have a dead adopted dad character with some sort of terrible past, and are both orphans prior to that. They also have a set of powers that aren't exactly special (magic and jinka/giver) in their setting, but are total novices to the intricacies (though really that just means they are protagonist boys).

Basically Invincible had a character by the name of Nolan Grayson (Omni-Man) who at one point in the story goes to a planet of dinosaur monsterhumanoids.
These creatures are strong enough to tear through Viltrumites (of which Nolan is a member) supposedly and so they organized for a structure to be put into space such that it prevented any light from the sun from reaching the planet so it would freeze over.
This object gets shot down by a space craft of the rival faction, the Coalition of Planets, who in an earlier scene bring up the need to collect weapons and tools that can kill Viltrumites.
So Death Battle took it upon themselves to do an incomplete physics analysis of the sun disk to approximate the durability that the lasers of the CoP ships can destroy and applying that to Nolan.
Smart Atoms are a guidebook exclusive term that are used as a catch all explanation for a lot of superpowers and superscience in the setting. They've become a meme because Invincible baiters/scalers use them as a fall back explanation for them to be able to resist any and all hax effects and however much else degrees of exaggeration.

Specifically the guide book was released before the characters in Season 3 of the Invincible show even existed in the comics. So it was a very early guidebook in the frame of publishing you might see in Marvel and DC for character encyclopedias, but limited entirely to just the world of Invincible.
