Well, My ideal version of Princess Bubblegum would be if she were in a romantic relationship with her aunt Lolly, and they lived as a lovely, stable couple throughout the entire series.

Also, I'd make her a much kinder, more motherly character toward Finn and the rest of the cast—and not have her be an unlikeable person like she became in the later seasons. That's all I want, really. It would be nice to see her as a lovable sweetheart again, like in the good old early seasons.

Ideally she'd be the kind of girl who'd be willing to turn her male friends, ie Finn, into a girl because she finds hetero boring and much prefers female relationships and do so without even consulting the person she was about to rule 63 before hand at all.

I feel like there are very different questions to ask about any identities or continuity

when I take off my crown, I'm not doing it for the purpose of saying my duties are over and I don't have to be princess for the rest of my day.
