Nah, despite Viv's claims that Helluva is for boys and Hazbin for girls, it's actually the opposite post maybe episode 1 or 2 of Helluva Boss. HB at some point becomes so massively cringe-inducing it's genuinely hard to watch, and the characters just becomes gayer and more annoying over time. Anything with Asmodeus and Fizzaroli is actually revolting to watch as a straight man. For sure not impossible. There are certainly a handful of fanfics that hit the nail on the head and are a great read, but for the most part, it's sifting through the weaker material to find the real good stuff. Not that I disparage any of the "not as good" writings. I used amateur in the most literal sense that I realize all these are from people doing writing in their free time, so I'm not expecting fantastic, well edited writing. It just makes coming across those well done fics all the more satisfying.

It is interesting how deceptively time-consuming writing, and especially good writing takes, from my incomplete attempts at writing my own fics and AUs.

Loona and Moxxie are already pretty compatible, honestly more than Millie and Moxxie. The only real deterrents are that Loona is Blitzo's daughter, Moxxie is married to Millie, and Loona's guarded personality. If you don't want infidelity, it only works in AUs where Moxxie never met Millie or fell for Loona first, or if Millie and Moxxie split up beforehand.

Unravel is actually the one I had in mind when I said that and I'd totally agree it's easily the best Moxxie x Loona fic that I've read yet. It's almost a bit too slow of a burn. Or rather it has a lot of what is seeming filler, but it could very well all tie up in a nice bow in the end. I've only sat down to read How I Learned to Love Hellhounds when it comes to fics from here, but that one is a fantastic example of what I mean. Loona feels very in character. When you read their dialogue, it's easy to read it in their voice. And that holds true of all the other canon characters as well. I don't have the skill to do it myself, but it's clear there's writers that just have a good knack for incorporating specific characters' speech mannerism and that author does a great job of it.

Well, if you think about what's missing, one of the two is basically free. Because Dante's first "circle" is actually Limbo; Limbo is straight up bible canon, you can all but assume that it exists in the universe unless it's going completely daffy with its world building. Limbo and Purgatory must exist in some capacity, even if we don't have much occasion to see or acknowledge them. Some sort of realm-between with Purgatory on the top and Limbo on the bottom, as "entrance halls" to heaven or hell. Assuming that exists in some form or other is no stretch.

So then the only circle left to include is the most iconic: the well of malebolge, the icy pit, the place where traitors end up. Now consider this, none of the demonology references (the Lesser Key, the Pseudomonarchia, etc) indicate any association of Andrealphus with coldness or ice. He's routinely described as a peacock and as a quibbler/negotiator, both of which hold true of the Andrealphus we see, but she gives him ice powers. The one actual traitor among the Goetia (who actually turns against and tries to undermine one of his own) has ice powers.

Is it such a stretch to imagine either some "secret ring", or perhaps the space outside of the structure of the rings themselves, where Lucifer and/or the sins exile the worst traitors? A place they don't talk about and nobody can visit because it is meant as an eternal prison for those banished from hell? And might not this realm of ice be a place where our ice queen ends up, setting him up to become a powerful ruler-in-exile who might turn on the sins/goetia from his place outside hell?

IDK, it just feels like there's going to be some deep pit of ice. I can just tell it's coming. I'm not sure how we'll get it but it's going to be present, it's too iconic to leave off.
