>Who is /fat/ for?
For rotund rabbits working towards a longer life and a better physique through meaningful hard-work, strategy, and dedication. This is not QTDDTOT, stick to questions on fat loss. Post height and weight when asking for advice.
Join our Fatty Contest: https://www.fattycontest.com/

>What do I do first?
1. Read https://physiqonomics.com/fat-loss/
2. Calculate your Body Fat Percentage: https://fitness.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Body-Fat-Navy
3. Calculate your TDEE: https://www.sailrabbit.com/bmr/
Remember to use bodyfat% and use Katch-McArdle Formula with sedentary settings or your TDEE will be too high.
4. Plan your weight loss: https://www.losertown.org/eats/cal.php
5. Track your nutrition with MyFitnessPal (better for packaged food), Cronometer (better for generic food/macros), LoseIt (great for both), or Waistline (FOSS).

>Now what?
Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. Not lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.
Read the /fit/ sticky: https://liamrosen.com/fitness.html

>DON'T
Eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calories.
Eat processed foods.
Drink your calories (alcohol, soda, Starbucks).
Freak out over a weight loss stall. Plateaus can last up to three weeks.
"Reward" yourself. Cheat days cheat only yourself.

how do you people sit down and plan 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 7 dinners a week, along with the energy to prepare them all? i can't do all that shit man, lunch maybe, maybe breakfast, but not dinner......

maybe i should skip dinner and just do breakfast and lunch. breakfast can be a couple eggs and some bacon and toast, lunch can be a turkey sandwich on sourdough with a tuna packet and a rice cake or something, and if i take a couple scoops of psyllium husk i should be able to make it through dinner to sleep. that should work right?

most days i eat the same for lunch and dinner. in general, i don't have a lot of food variety anymore, because food shouldn't be a source of pleasure, at least for me. I do this because i noticed that all my really thin friends view eating as an annoying necessaty that's to be dealt with as quickly as possible and with as little effort as possible.

I just kept it as simple as I could. Two meals a day, each meal consisting of meat, small portion of carbs and mixed veg. So chicken, potatos and mixed veg for example. I honestly think it is impossible to go over your caloric limit with two meals like that. I've lost 130lbs doing this. I won't lie it's kind of ruined food for me but it's better than being an obeast.

Are you a literal child?
I know i am a retarded neet but its not that difficult
Just eat lean meats with vegtables for dinner and/or lunch
For breakfast eat some hard bread, whole-wheat, or eggs or if you can get it some kvarg or some greek yoghurt with fruits that you like
Eating this breakfast takes no energy and like 2-3 minutes to fix
Do some sallad in a big bowl or cook and prepare vegetables for a couple of days and then you just have to cook the meat or whatever you are having

Good morning, frens. My initial weight was at 267.8 as of March 27th, I dropped down to 228lbs in 40days, but have been stagnant weight wise since fathers day, hovering between 230 and 228, diet hasnt been what it should be, but today is the refresher, capping calories to 1400 a day, and replacing my run with an incline walk until at least one drop of sweat falls from the brim of my hat. Walked at an incline of 10 for 43:39 minutes, burned 408 calories (My Treadmill doesnt have a weight input feature so its probably closer to 500) Goal is to be at 200lbs by Halloween. Stay Strong.

Cheat days can have a lot of meanings so I'll just call it a refeed. Pick a day once every week or two weeks where you eat at TDEE. It will help reset your hormones, and give you energy to continue your diet. It's also good practice for maintaining when you finally drop all the weight.

Yup. If im burning 400 calories a day with my incline walk, and then capping my caloric intake to 1400 a day based on my math, ill be burning an excess of 1,800 calories a day, or 12,600 a week, which would translate to 3.6lbs per week, but I know as I get closer to my goal that number will get smaller, ill probably achive it by early September, but im just giving myself a cushion.

Pft, thats nothing I was far fatter than him, all you need do is simply just not give a fuck what anyone else thinks, thats it. Yeah you're fat and look like shit but you don't care so it doesnt bother you... until one day it does and you then suddenly wonder how you let it get that bad.

Its surprisingly easy to just ignore an inconvenient truth. I did it for 34 years.

NTA, but, pretty much. I did it with chips, peanuts and other snacks, like 200-300 grams per day. Sweets and sodas too, of course, but to a lesser extent. All on top of 3 square meals every day. If it isn't obvious, I haven't had the healthiest relationship with food. Bored? Eat. Stressed? Eat. Angry? Eat until you're numb.
It's getting better now. Slowly but surely.

Body hair is fine. You have strong body hair, but that's not necessarily a problem. Shave your armpits if it leads to smell, that's about it.
>I wonder if I just pivoted into body building rather than weight loss if itd be good
You're far too far off to go into body building. Lose the weight first. You can lift while doing so of course, but focus on getting leaner first, then you can think of the other stuff.

Sorry for the delayed response anon.
Depends on what you are shaving with.
In general, shave after a shower - that softens the hairs. If you don't want to shower, wet a towel with hot water and wrap that around the place you want to shave and wait a bit.
Then apply shaving foam onto the area and put a new blade onto the safety razor. Shave with that in a 45 degree angle. With a new blade you shouldn't have to apply any pressure. Better to do multiple passes with light pressure than one with strong.
Afterwards, apply cold water to cool the area and an aftershave if you want.
Even then the first week or so you'll have skin irritation, but that goes away.
Obviously being fat and having skin folds make it's harder, but not too much.

That'll be the hard part, with the fast progress I made so far motivation is easy, we'll have to see if I'm strong enough to keep going when it stops or slows down. I think I have a few good systems in place though.

Eating less is a healthy eating habit. Everything else is statistically not a long term solution.
>it shouldn't be given to ppl without proper habit changes first just like weight loss surgery
If we gave every fat person GLP1 and told them to take a multivitamin with it and some low fat, high protein yogurt, obesity rates would plummted to extremely low levels and disease would be cut by 50% or more.
But I guess it is easier to morally judge fat people and promote some vague lifestyle changes instead of just offering a simple solution that doesn't require anything.

There are no studies linking pork or lard consumption to death, because such a long term study would be impossibly difficult. All of these studies usually go something like:
>after 3 months of high pork eating, group A had higher cholesterol than group B
>which means group A is more likely to die!
or
>Survey of 200 people found that higher pork consumption was correlated with heart disease
>Ignores where that pork consumption comes from, they could be eating hot dogs and fries every day
If you can't tell, this is incredibly retarded. Ironically enough, the okinawans (you know, the people that everyone shill as living 100 years) have incredibly high pork intake.

This is mechastic speculation based on using giga doses in mice and it hasn't been observed in diabetics from liraglutide. If you're really worried about it, there are like a hundred things that cure cancer in mice.
>doesn't really become a habit when you start getting hungry again once the drug dose stops
Habit: A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition
So when you eat less with GLP1, you develop a HABIT.
>giving every fatty the drug wont change shit
It will, they will lose all fat.
>most fatties do not want to change their lifestyle
They don't have to. GLP1 will make them eat less and thereby become thin.
>hey love being lazy and they love eating good food,
With GLP1 you literally can't eat as much food anymore.

>meanwhile in reality every study ever recording LDL cholesterol from people that have had heart attacks has shown that the majority have "healthy" levels of LDL
Healthy levels have been revised down to 70mg / dL in recent years because that is the figure where most people have shown to start to regress plaque levels. Below 60mg / dL, there is no incidence of plaque buildup anymore in any population.
Obviously the overwhelming majority of people fall in the range of 70-130mg / dL of LDL cholesterol so the majority of heart attacks/strokes will occur in them.
>>MUST BE THE CHOLESTEROL THAT CAUSED THE HEART ATTACK!
We know that statins, PCSK9 inhibitors, certains diets (low saturated fat) and exercise cause plaque regression or stabilization. The recent LHMR study showed diabetic tier levels plaque progression despite no diabetes, low blood pressure, low body fat etc. The debate is done, the science is settled. If you hate it so much, write to Trump and tell him to stop using his 40mg rosuvastatin and 10mg ezetimibe and do something about da joo scientists making you angry.

Has no one here ever been on a diet? If you stop a glp1 you may eventually gain weight back, but how is that different from any other diet? Would you advocate against losing weight even if many people who lose weight eventually gain it back? Ofc not.

I lost around 100lbs pre glp1 and maybe 30lbs post glp1. I am not even on a full effective dose and it has already changed my relationship with food in a way that I know will last after I discontinue its use.

Honestly, I don't understand most of the comments I read online about these meds.
-theres no diarrhea unless youre eating garbage.
-theres no constipation if you know what a vegetable is.
-people taking 10 to 15mg doses sounds insane to me as my results even on 5mg have been dramatic (tirzepatide).

there is no habit being formed when you use ozempic is the whole point, its completely different compared to just raw dogging weight loss, obv u could end up on square one either way but the 2nd option is more likely to work long term

Definition of habit:
>A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition
By this definition, ozempic helps you form a healthy food habit. What is so difficult to understand about this? Nowhere in this definition is there any mention of habit formation having to be "natural". Brushing your teeth is not a natural phenomenon either.

Do I need to post the defintion of habit once again?
Ozempic: habit forming
Habits: last longer than the heat death of the universe and you literally don't have to use up any sort of willpower to maintain them.
In fact, are we even sure there is actual medication in GLP1 syringes and not concentrated habit juice?

Snack
Lollipop

Lunch
Chickfila friend sandwich
Market salad with light balsamic vinegarette

Not every meal you eat is going to be perfectly prepped at home. You need to be able to find healthy options that you enjoy and fit your schedule. If you think a protein rich salad that has 400 calories and a 440 calorie sandwich will make you fat, youre just wrong.

Get an instantpot and ask chatgpt for easy recipes that you can make several days worth of. Then just put the pot into the fridge with a plate over it and portion it out when you eat. Make that one of your meals everyday for the next several days.

It's okay if you need ideas and know how to cook, because you can just ignore its retard moments.
If you're a beginner and can't tell when it gives you bad advice (like overcooking chicken until leathery), then it's questionable.
