Thinking of using electrical wires to transmit data. This is a $ 2billions idea. Who's building this with me?
KILL
ALL
AI NIGGERS
And women, jannies, troons and darkies
>>105734018Better idea. Use light signals over long distances
Smells to send data 5 trillion dollar idea. Long range and can only be picked up by the person who has the smelling device tuned to the one sending the data.
Children you are fucking tripping. Obviously we need to transmit data by touch.
>>105734072She's farting out a signal HNNNGGG
How come the healthiest and long-term relationships were coming from companies that hunted me, not I hunted them? Every time I applied for a company of my dream it would end up in underappreciation or disappointment, and, on the contrary, every time a recruiter found me I would work there the longest.
>>105734097>Why does a company that thinks I'm valuable treat me better than one that considers me easily replaceable? I dunno dude
>>105734097Same with women. You want an obsessive woman who will rather kill you and burn down the town than let you leave. These are the HR karens that watch HLN and read rape fiction novels to slap there curtains from there loveless marriages.
>>105734084This. Just connect very long rods and emit tactile signals on one end. Literally faster than light.
>>105734032That's limited to the speed of light IDIOT.
We need to create a very large and strong rod (no bending or compressing allowed) so that when it's moved in one direction it instantly transfers data light years away. Then we can quickly move it and detect movement to transfer usable data.
Let's start the prototype with copper and go from there.
>>105734127You stole my idea. I'm going to sue you into the ground kiddo.
>>105734127But bending and maintaining is the real problem. This is like mechanical computers all over again. Huge benefit is dramatic reduction in power usage. Likely great for data centers that are begging for faster data transfers amongst core nodes.
>>105734127AKSHUALLY movement moves at the speed of sound through the medium
>>105734236what if you use magnetism instead and only push electrons?

I shouldn't even bother right guys
Huge tech layoffs are coming this year. You think last few years were bad? They were nothing compared to what's coming. We'll see some companies cut 25-50% of their developers. Market's about to be flooded with 200k+ tech workers. Amazon alone is going to layoff another 30,000

>>105737108I think that's true but it's pretty fucking hilarious seeing mid-tier white guys who think they are better than jeets because they learned webshit and believe they are owed jobs by MNCs.
Those jobs are not "yours" SAAAAAR. That being said I really do not enjoy working with Indians and therefore I shan't be hiring any for my startup if we ever do need to onboard and have funding for that.
The issue I have with Indians isn't incompetence but rather lying.
>>105737138>You should be fine with corporate overlords importing the third world and bringing everyoneโs quality of life downFuck you
>>105737158The jeets who are hired by FAANG and other big tech companies are increasing their margins and therefore increasing the GDP, therefore making number go up. Objectively, your quality of life is better because Indians are working at tech companies.
Don't you understand!
Jokes aside, those jobs are not "yours". It is remarkable seeing white guys on 4chan overestimate their competence.
>>105737138>The issue I have with Indians isn't incompetence but rather lying.Im curious what you guys think of black programmers. Being one myself, I feel like Im basically seen as a dumb DEI hire until I can actually prove that Im good at what I do. I actually have discussions with my non black programmer friends and they say it's unfortunately a thing. Only whites and asians, and sometimes indians, get the benefit of the doubt.

Indian society is actually extremely cuttroath which is why they thrive in american tech (it's like a shark getting into the koi pond).

What is it with some of you lot complaining about being pushed to use AI, don't you know it's the future and that those who don't use it are going to be left behind?
Even Microsoft pushes their devs to use for that reason
>>105734141is the speed of rod faster than the speed of light?
>>105737916Microsoft pushes their devs to use it as a way to generate more data for Copilot. It hasn't seemed to work. Like it does fine with small ghost text segments, and it seems to do well if you ask it to analyze existing code, but beyond that Copilot is pretty useless. Especially with a large mature codebase. I haven't tried any of the other AI coding tools.
>>105737191Indians no longer get the benefit of the doubt and as far as we are concerned anyone from the east coast of america is written off as a "will be fired" irregardless of their skin color but it just happens to always be the blacks that get fired first. Education out in the east coast of america is severely lacking and I am from the south where it's pretty bad to begin with.
Some smarter companies never deal with the Visa system in america because its ass and alot of the times would be easier to just open up a location in europe most of the times. The other reason just as with the chinks is IP theft.
>>105737916AI reminds me of the plot from Batman Forever with the riddler.
>>105737931the speed of rod is, under normal conditions, the speed of sound inside the rod. so significantly slower than speed of light.
It's theoretically possible to push it faster but it would experience EXTREME internal stresses and probably burst into treats
The term engineer is way oversaturated in the workplace. We don't even have a engineering licensing exam for either programming for IT.
Any good recommendations for carpet covers? I my fat juicy ass keeps destroying those within a year.
>>105738060Honestly I kinda agree, we should have some basic certification that is a mish-mash of final exams from a data structures, algorithms, and some elective class like web development/databases classes from undergrad.
>>105738110I mean shit even though IT is half ass it does atleast prove that you learned it. For hiring managers it makes it alot easier to discuss related topics to these certs to weed out people even more.
Programming can easily have Junior and Senior level related stuff. Even our managers have certs to hone them in certain concepts like SCRUM, ITIL, PMP and the likes
>>105737049This. Google is better than it's ever been.
>>105738060>>105738110See, there used to be these things called "colleges" and "universities" that would offer more-or-less standardized training in those concepts, but (You) complained that too many new grads didn't know [framework invented that day]
>>105738143>SCRUM, ITIL, PMPThese have nothing to do with actually operating or maintaining computer hardware or software and are 99.9999999% people/project management bullshit

>>105738270This. Certificates and degrees are not accomplishments; I mean real-world projects with real-world users. There is no excuse for software developers who donโt have a site, app, or service they can point to and say, โI did this, all by myself!โ in a world where Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services have free service tiers, and it costs all of $25 to register as an Android developer and publish an app on the Android Market.

Should you ever be honest with employers when they ask you why you want to leave your current job? Is it bad to say that you want a salary increase and that your current employer won't give it to you? Some may say that by saying that to the person interviewing you that they might get the impression that you're not really a useful asset to your current company and so might discourage the interviewer from giving you a job as they might not see you as valuable as they initially thought you were.
>>105737191The only black programmer I've ever met was an extremely incompetent but charismatic consultant. I don't think I've even seen one otherwise.

>>105737468>Christianity banned it cause it ruined society, christianity banned it for the same reasons the jews banned it; it is prohibited in the bible. however, it is never explicitly banned between jews and christians, and that's the loophole because they do not consider each other to be fellow religious travellers (at least historically).
usury arose in the holy roman empire because the german aristocracy realized they could lend their money to jews (who were mostly forbidden to own land) and then those jews could lend it out again to everyone else, and by doing that both would make money on interest. it was not illegal because the aristocracy wasn't charging the lower classes interest directly. this is how certain famous banking families came to the fore, and why they have german sounding names. the more you know.

even jews would not tolerate that level of goy abuse. protestants are literally the worst. to jews, goys are like cattle -- they're there to produce and work for you, yes, but still must be cared for, even if only for practical reasons and mortal sins still apply if done against goys (or even animals in some cases). to muslims, you are either one of them, a tolerable non-believer who will be left alone, or a heretic who will be burned; among the very extreme sects, to have an non-believer work for them at all would be heretical and the moderates consider non-believers to be a "separate but equal" class so long as they don't interfere in the islamic state or islamic doings.
under the Protestant Work Ethic, it is your lot in life to SUFFER and TOIL for your entire mortal life to have even a slight chance at receiving god's grace, and if you die on the job, well that's your fault for being WEAK and LAZY.
among non-protestant sects, the view on money and work is more or less a normal human thing -- if you put in a token amount of work, god will help you out. the church always needs money, but beyond your tithe they don't give a shit what you do with your cash as long as it's not something sinful. protestants demand you be a peasant and thank your masters for the privilege of serfdom, and anything nice you come across better be kicked up to your masters

If you've never worked with 4.0 gpa people you might think otherwise but I have worked with many due to hr roasties and they're always the 2nd worst class of incompetent fucks who don't understand the basics of subjects they supposedly aced (of course peoppe with 2.0 gpa are worse).
So yes, if you pick a random fag from MIT he'll probably be better than a random fag from NYU, but if you actually select based on interview perf (not leetcode) you will often find that MIT grads underperform their colleagues and you will find unicorns nearly exclusively from shit schools.

really stressing out for monday but I genuinely want to get some advice here, I'm planning to just hard quit next month without anything lined up. I've been trying to job search for a few months now but I think my mental is really getting me to tank interviews. I tried thinking of fixing my current workplace by pushing back boundaries and reworking things but I've tried that earlier last year with soft pushes and nothing fucking changed, in fact it was probably worse since my manager can't read big boss emotions and told him shit at the wrong fucking time. (I remember one time he asked if he thought my pay was low and I said, "well yeah, it's a little on the lower side." and he mentioned on talking to big boss about it, only to learn it was layoff season and I'm just like oh for fuck sakes, now I have a target on my back). I can't even get my brain to mentally reset for the workday and everything is just frozen when it comes to the big picture. I can generally work on the deliverables but anytime anything gets to the bullshit point (business requirements/presenting to the stakeholders and getting scope creeped because no one has a backbone), I literally just freeze up now. I can't ever see myself recovering right now without a long break but I can't tell if it's the best idea to quit. Getting severely depressed recently too.
>>105743494My savings aren't amazing but I think I can last a good 6-7 months without too much worry so there's that as well. I know a lot of advice online would say just stick it out but fuck man I literally don't want to put any thoughts about any of this shit anymore. Even when it comes to small steps to try to fix dynamics and things, my brain is stubborn and goes "why the fuck should I put energy when they're the ones that burnt me out?", "I already told my boss we need to prevent scope creep and no matter how many time I reiterate it to him he'll always bend the fucking knee during stakeholder meeting. I keep fucking saying no this won't work unless we do x,y,z and x,y,z will be way additional overhead on our team with resources we don't have, he'll agree and then say a soft no in the meeting only to fucking present this solution as an option and I'll be like oh my fucking god fuck you man." Like I already told my boss about the stuff that's burning me but to protect his own hide, he's doing fucking nothing and just "eh we'll just deal with it", "it is what it is", "i know it sucks, but sucks for me too"
>>105743524Considering how long it takes to get a new job, and that you only have a few months savings, can't recommend
If youre burning out, need recovery without stressing about work, and with your limited runway you'll have to start interviewing asap, which at least to me is just as stressful
>>105743524Minimum is 6 months of savings with all expenses accounted for with an additional 400-600$ extra for each month to cover for breaks in your house, car or other shit happening in your life.
If you have other shit stocked up like I do. Cleaning supplies, dry goods, and many other necessities then 6 months really lasts 12 months since i can just use my supplies. Credit card can be used to cover utilities which is required now for finding a job with internet usage.
If your savings is literally only paying rent/mortgage then your fucked that in all actually is less than 3 months if you account for all of your expenses.
You need 12-18 months if you want to not work and hope to get a job by the end of it.
>>105743561Honestly, I've been debating just getting a low risk contract job if I get really desperate after a month. I do have a bit more savings that would last me double the time but I REALLY don't want to pull from there unless I really have to. I've been interviewing yeah but I'm getting the red flags that every job I'm going into will exactly be the same bullshit that I have now and it just tanks my drive. My man needs a full fucking reset soon.
>>105743583ah, 6-7 months will be with food (I'm generously overestimating too) + other expenses + fixed expenses (lol rent nah ill go live at home) . I'm not completely up shit creek since I have support at home although can't say I won't be a bit embarrassed moving back.
I'm using next month as a hard stop since starting September is when work gets insanely retarded with how much projects their initiating with how so little folks we have and it's also full RTO and I'm starting to really find it difficult to hold my spaghetti with some of this shit. At least online I can mute my mic and start ranting about this fucking bullshit but offline? Shit's hard man.
HCOL area, towns that are 15 minutes away (15-35 with rush hour traffic) are $300-500/month cheaper (and what you get for $2000 is much nicer than what you get in town). I'm really thinking about it...
>>105743638If its nicer with only that much travel time then how close are you to your job to begin with? You must be within 5 miles at that point. Sure its comfy but saving 500$ to pay an extra 50$ a month in gas is a hell of a trade off if your fine driving further.
>>105743638Wow I wish I could have a 35 minute commute.
>>105743655>>105743676Are remote jobs in the US extinct or something? Lmao
>>105743689If remote you mean eastern europe and indian then no.
>>105743689they're not if you have a cool boss like me
>>105743655I'm like 1.5 miles away right now. I'm paying $2250/month for a building with terrible insulation, no dishwasher, and the only air conditioning is a window AC unit I bought. Luckily it's a short term lease and I'm going to be moving somewhere else nicer in 2 months.
>>105743676Yeah that's obviously what's stopping me from saying it's a good deal. TBQH I don't mind 20-30 minute drives, I grew up in the sticks and that's how far I had to drive to school/downtown back in high school.
Morning drive would be in the 20-30 minute range, but if I went to the gym immediately after work I'd miss the rush traffic and I'd be back home in 15-20 minutes...
>>105743561>>105743583I'm just thinking if it's mentally viable. I don't see my situation really improving and honestly being stuck in this rut makes me feel like insanely shit. If they fire me that could take months and months where I don't want to lie to myself and act like a leech. I'd rather go out with some dignity than just sack everything for a couple of months and let everything blow up.
How difficult is it to get a job in cybersecurity? I've been working through Practical Malware Analysis as a side hobby/out of personal interest, and I actually really like working in and analyzing assembly more so than I do in a higher level language such as C/C++.

>>105743747If you get a hookup with more appliances and working insulation then I would make the trade. 20-30 mins aint bad to save 500$. People have it alot worse and your rent is ass.

People that were eyeing Austin were eyeing it because it was a place where you could get a good job and homes weren't all $600-800k or $1M. it's no longer a deal.
then, people discovered that they had essentially moved to an overpacked *college town* that has the amenities of a *college town*. i.e. not enough doctors and stuff to support a shit ton of people
While you can still work 250-300k jobs remote. You mostly can't work the 500-800k stuff remote any more. Denver rents are down too because of this. Literally 2018 pricing in some cases.

>>105745588no idea about other countries but you know you can hire a psychologist yourself, right?
just find some cheap one just so you can talk to someone about this.
or just leave. who cares? make sure to do everything to prepare to be unemployed for 2+ years, just in case. maybe start a small business reselling stuff or whatever, something you can be sure will not drain your pockets.
>>105745962take notes, you retard. you don't need to remember EVERYTHING. no one does.
use joplin, cherrytree, or similar note-taking apps
>>105747347>>105747392New billion dollar startup idea. Private ambulances. Poorfags don't have ambulances and you can't depend on the (((state))) to help you. We'll use AI and Blockchain technology to identify casualties and their specific issues, and dispatch someone with an IQ higher than 105 to help you. (We'll select for intelligence and poise among our ambulance staff by only hiring programmers. They can use AI to solve any issues they can't innately figure out...)
Of course, all staff are also required to have the necessary licensing to carry and use firearms so they can defend you from the niggers who shot you and even save white children from (((mass shooters))) where the police won't.
Who's building this with me?
>>105747416I'll make the logo
>>105747416How is this any different than just calling yourself an uber with the hospital as your destination?
>>105747196I wouldn't want to be a homeowner for the next few years unless I were paying in cash.
>>105746456If you're cold applying you do need an amazing cover letter.
>>105747433Ubers are driven by jeets who don't have the necessary medical knowledge from being a high-IQ programmer to keep you from dying. And while most of them are armed, they only protect themselves and would probably shoot you first, and with some clapped out niggerblaster. We will arm our agents with only the finest weapons: AR-15 Assault Weapons and Glock pistols (with 3d printed switches designed and printed in-house)
>>105747416If you're willing to do it with drones, I have a cousin who knows a guy who can get us some venture capital

But they were probably inspired by one from fiction that does have guns.

>>105747532>https://docgo.com/Imagine getting into a car accident or something and some jeet in a fucking Dodge Magnum pulls up saying he's your ambulance driver like he just showed up with your uber eats order. i wouldn't rather die, but i certainly would
