I'm tired of getting up at 12 only to be bombarded with messages from my boss and the other retards who are more lazy than me.
I'm tired of knowing that if I get them to fire me I get no benefits at all
I'm tired of hearing these retards complain because I'm too slow, because I hurry too much, because I'm good, because I'm not good enough, because their boss said this or that, because our bosses boss said there is no money, because he says they will not fire people and end up firing people, because they say "no more firings!" and end up firing one of out best coworkers because of some dumb drama...
I want to get laid off. please, if any gods exist, get me fired, paid a severance package and unemployment bucks. PLEASE. I don't want to know about these retards EVER AGAIN.

What do you feel from looking at this?
>>105758721>You guys think its a bad idea to go to japan for a year and try to get a tech job?>4 years of experiencedepends. what were your aspirations with the career in the first place?
It seems like there is a ton of low to mid pay work in Japan. $10k/month for engineering work doesn't really interest me all that much (I'm spoiled with over $20k), but it seems like $5-7k per month is highly available in japan. employee's market. You'd be forgoing the massive upside of USA for a while, but maybe you weren't really cracking or willing to move for the FAGMAN type stuff anyways. high high high end pay in USA is like $400-800k/yr. that's for a W2 job in big tech.
Do you speak japanese? If not, you'd probably want or need a year just to get yourself good enough at japanese. While some jobs require no japanese, more open up when you have N2+ seemingly.

Only once the whole project is done will I not be able to lie any longer because the finished product has a UI. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
Left my MSP job a few years ago and now I'm a sysad but I kind of want to go back. Sitting in a cubicle all day working on projects, every single task by my team is always done late because we are given unrealistic deadlines. Hardware is many years out of date and we aren't given the budget to buy new hardware but half the company is complaining how slow everything is but we can't optimize anymore. We literally have hard drives in prod over 10 years old in a RAID5. Every week I hear about how the company is doing badly.
I kind of want to just go back to fixing stuff and traveling around and talking to people. I haven't talked to a woman outside my office in 2 years. I just work and go home.
I don't want to do complex intangible tasks that don't help anyone. I want to plug cables in and open computers up and help people.

Over the past couple of months I've kind of boxed myself into a corner because, completely devoid of things I wanted to talk about with my manager when it comes to "goals", I mentioned SQL as a growth area and the conversation eventually steered into her suggesting I take the 1Z0-71 Oracle exam
I've studied up for the exam but the more I learn about it the more I realized how retarded I was to follow along with her suggestion. This shit is hard in the worst way. Weird little pitfall/trick questions that assumes you're going to be doing dev work without an internet connection, zero testing of fundamentals, just memorization. This shit also costs $250 per attempt. It feels like a waste of money and effort even if I passed on the first try.
Is having this under my name even remotely useful? Too late for me to weasel out atp but since I'm a junior I'm coping it would somehow be worthwhile if I get laid off (lol)

(It isn't a dream job either though)
I can't believe finally I achieved freedom
7 rounds of interviews, 6 of which turned out to be a technical interview. I'm glad I got the job but the amount effort was not worth it
I just got a job offer of 30 an hour doing desktop IT. Not too shabby for someone with only a high school diploma and 0 certs. I was on this thread 2 weeks ago talking about the idea of laminating my resume like an autist. I didn't bother even taking my resume in and I'm glad I didn't. The manager thought I was a superstar and had it on hand.
During the interviews I mentioned how much I use Linux for my servers, and they brought up that their company prefers hiring internally and they were planning on migrating to Linux in the future. I'm quite cheesed with what I was able to accomplish, this job might have me set. As much as I hate Reddit, the /r/resumes wiki helped me a ton. Good luck out there anon!

>>105762458no, you just waste your time and effort doing that. Applying at hyper specific roles increases your chances and helps you fine tune your resume. Its getting a call back that hinges on pure luck, because that part isn't in your hands
>>105762451white, male, guess i am screwed for not being a women or yeah...
>>105762452i think you're right. requires so much effort though. lets hope.
>>105762427>just seems like there's too much noise now to speak to a real person.Because there is. Every tech job is fucking swamped with applicants (even ignoring indians who exacerbate the problem). From what I can gather unless you have a really good resume your only real chance is knowing a guy. Two hiring managers spoke about it in /utwg/, both said they basically end up filtering to the top applicants in different ways (one auto-filters via constraints, the other manually sorts them) so unless you're potentially a top applicant (not necessarily the top, just near it) it's likely a waste of time. You should probably still try because you don't know what the current applicant pool is like, but don't get your hopes up unless you're highly skilled. But all that said, people both here and /utwg/ have talked about how they are the highly skilled unicorn that perfectly meets requirements and still struggle to get callbacks.

Is there any chance tech will go back to being nerdy? I don't feel well with all the normies, even in here in twg. Where am I supposed to go?
Become a commercial pilot once I save enough before 40's?
Architecture? Medical field? (That one feels immoral).

>been learning some programming on the side and I have a few scripts to solve some big issues with the team but honestly end users are way too bitchy that they'll probably complain I've automated some of their tasks, my boss still can't fucking tell me if I can add the feature in because he keeps twiddling his thumbs (apparently in our contract, there's a limit on API calls and I need that limit to figure out my solution for my shit), and if I do hypothetically introduce this to him, he'll scope creep the fuck outta it because fuck you. I wouldn't even know how to deal with the IT layer because I'm only starting to realize that everyone in this company is doing no code solutions and our actual no code developers are jeets and kinda dumb.

General question that I hope anyone can ask but how do you keep your fucking cool during RTO? I'm already sperging out working from home, but RTO my body languages definitely pops out when something pisses me off.
