>Omissions
RTX 5070 Ti: buy if you need CUDA, if you value DLSS/Reflex that highly, and if the 5060 Ti 16GB or 5070 isn't performant enough.
RTX 5070: buy if it's reasonably priced & if you plan to work around potential VRAM bottlenecks.
RX 9070 non-XT: current 9070 prices in the US are too close to the 9070XT's.

>I'm considering going for 2x32gb RAM but the teamgroup kit isn't available in my region. What brand/model should I look at instead? The brand doesn't matter too much since they all source memory chips from the same major manufacturers.
Memory modules don't break down that easily unless you make big mistakes in installation or manual overclocking.
The broken ones will usually cause booting issues or other instabilities when you're still within the return period.
This one's fine and assembled/tested by a well-known kit manufacturer.

I want to install one of those cheap quad nvme adapters because why not, but they require bifurcation so it would have to go into the 1st x16 slot and the gpu into the 2nd x16 slot which is only x4 width. >>105779570>enthusiast community is turning towards AMDI kind of stopped paying strong attention to pc hardware for awhile there, how did this happen?
Like there's always been autistic people but why has is gotten so strong after Nvidia totally obliterated them on market share and feature set? Like no ones actually buying them, they're playing catch up, and you don't (as far as I can tell) even necessarily have the the "value" or overclocking bonuses like you used to. >>105779709>I kind of stopped paying strong attention to pc hardware for awhile there, how did this happen?NVIDIA has been prioritizing AI their business since the 2010s, and it paid off after Chat GPT changed the tech industry.
They are reducing GeForce chip production to make more profitable data center GPUs.
The non-halo tier GeForce chips are also getting smaller every generation (maximize profit per chip).
But people will still gravitate towards GeForce, AMD's not going to get even 30% of the PC gaming market share for a long time.
AMD's new features take mods to use on many games, and there's just a better perception of GeForce cards.

>>105784735consumer gaming gpus are a low margin market. to make the same margins as they do on the 9800x3d, they would have to sell the 9070xt at $2000 at the minimum, probably a couple hundreds more because of lower yields and having to sell and entire pcb with vram and cooler included.
>>105784781Assumed form factor requirements. You can of course just get one that's open on all sides and lie it down though, but also the only part that is heavy enough to matter is the GPU and a simple lego man can solve that issue
>>105784824Water pumps could work much more efficiently if they were laying down.
>>105784781The ATX form factor was introduced in 1995, it wasn't designed with massive CPU coolers and video cards in mind.
PC component manufacturers don't want to deal with the pain of moving on to a more modern motherboard spec.

>Thread for the rest of the day is "AYYMD BAD AND LOSTED" spam
It's literally just too obvious at this point. If it's jeets I hope they get a good amount of rupees per post and if these fags are doing it for free they seriously need to get a life. This is a thread for helping people build pcs just stfu. There are no damage control spergouts like this whenever nvidia has good news.

>>105784797Basically anything nvidia has including developer support
>>105784865>This is a thread for helping people build pcs just stfu. It's usually the AMD card owners making exaggerated claims or straight-up lying in these threads.
Take your insecurities down a notch.
NVIDIA card owners aren't the ones saying dumb shit like NVIDIA needs to fix MPO.
If things feel shitty wherever you are, you are probably the source of that pile of shit.

why does my GPU make /g/ mad?

The GPU takes up a big chunk of Apple's SoCs

>>105784255>>just noticed super refresh of nvidia cards rarely ever surpass the popularity of the original versions>why is this?Refresh cards usually aren't attractive enough compared to waitingโข and buying a completely new generation card at launch.
Launch day 4090 buyers did very well (if their power connectors didn't melt).
I've been trying to figure out what laptop I should get, I think picrel is good for the $700 microcenter price, but I'm not sure if theres better options. I just need it for college work and a little gaming like fallout 4, is there any better hardware I could get instead at this price?
>>105778393>What boost clocks do most 5070s hit by default? It depends on the game and card model, 5070 FE averages around 2.8GHz @ stock settings.

>Also when I feel like overclocking do I just take the same strategy I had with Turing? Where I don't touch power limits and just strap an aio to it?The stock cooler should be good enough to give you most of the OC gains, liquid cooling a 5070 sounds like a waste of money.
Use the beta version of MSI Afterburner (to unluck higher RTX 50 VRAM OC) and refer to this OCing guide, old but gold.

I canโt give you the exact performance difference, but that laptop processor is pretty strong.
>>105785526thank you, you've been more than helpful! I'm still deciding if I want a 13 inch or a 15 inch laptop so I have another one to compare here.
