that's the problem with my job too but it's insanely hard to find advice online. it seems like everyone's "work" is just completely overwork and stress that comes from long hours.
Mine is
>don't really have much tasks
>when I do have tasks it's completely out of scope but it comes from our VP so I can't say no
>this company has NO fucking tools or easily accessible teams to do what we need to do
>constantly needing to BA/PM IF they want to even move forward with this project
>hand in deliverables to my boss only to find out later he did nothing with them
>projects keep getting put on pause, scope creep to fucking astronomical levels, or people just bitch and moan about processes that's been there for fucking years now but NOW it's suddenly a big issue.
Like my day to day, I'll write 3-4 emails but anytime I'm forced into a meeting (and I fucking will, especially when it makes NO sense to bring me in at that moment) it's just constant loop around the carousel and it's ALWAYS with big named stakeholders and they ALWAYS keep asking me questions I don't fucking know and need some time to figure out. FUCK what would you even call this? I'm not working overtime or anything but everything just feels so ridiculous.

>Deliver items without burning myself out. Basically for tomorrow morning I have to finish a shitton of documentation and then continue working on deliverables.
>Try to win my new manager over so he does not micromanage me. I get he must be stressed due to the new responsibilities piled on him but he came up a little bit aggressive at me today asking for answers to some topics. Let's see if I can turn this around or it won't work.
Not work related, but indirectly affecting it:
>Hit the gym 3 times this week at least.
>Medidate daily for 5-10 minutes.
>Light walks to kickstart the day or take a short break.

So yea they are in fact doing better than fine. The house gives them access to HELOCs down the line.

There alot of shit here they can cut like the date nights every two week, childcare costs are short-term in nature and will give them a 42k buffer when the kids get old enough. They could drive a beater instead of a BMW and the Misc buckets is too generic.

Anyways here a back test. 1990 - 2025.

Assuming you cap out your 401(k), Roth, and built a bridge account (1250 contribution per month inflation adjusted) you would have close to $7 million dollars today, at a 3% withdrawal rate you could withdraw $201k and the portfolio should keep rising forever.

The QRD that goes for cars is basically that Porsches were air-cooled for a very long time, something that many enthusiasts still desire because less weight and less things to go wrong, but eventually had to drop it because liquid cooling is not only more powerful but can fit in smaller spaces where air-cooling more or less requires having a very open and spacious engine bay.

More or less the same deal as with computers with the main problem being that unlike an engine, if coolant starts leaking it can immediately cause a catastrophic failure rather than just eventually, and the fact that 95% of all liquid cooling setups on PCs are extremely unreliable and prone to failure.

if you wanna work in QA or even game QA this means you'll record gameplay videos A LOT

and they might take up 1gb from just 10 minutes of gameplay

If 1 game might take up 10 videos that means your storage will be drained by 100gb

Make sure to stack up storages. Get at least 1TB and you might need external storages too.

Is there anyone here knows how to save space when recording?

I got my first job (during the post-covid boom, admittedly) with CV that had an interests section, the important thing is it has to be something you're comfortable/confident talking about during an interview.
It's a valid tactic you have no other way to distinguish yourself as a fresh grad

I've decided against quitting
I'll just coast and let them fire me
What's the worst that could happen anyway

The worst? That you continue to be invested and work too hard still. Second worst? That they don't fire you and you become increasingly demoralized.
That's where I'm at. My employer is the kind of place boomers go to die and I go back and forth of wanting more growth or just leeching off this for the next 50 years.

I'm at this
>Manager thinks I report to my boss
>Boss things I report to manager
>No one checks on features they asked for well over a week ago
>I'm literally doing nothing
>I didn't even go to the office in the days I was scheduled to
I feel guilty cause they're good people but I also don't wanna work and I know for a fact the company is doing quite well

I survived a massive layoff and honestly my mental state is so shit. What's the point of doing anything when everyone/everything are fucking assholes? Being a productive member of society? Lmao what society?

I'm supposed to report to my manager I think but I haven't done anything in almost 3 weeks. I used to ask "Hey what can I help with next?" and he'd give me some bullshit task, eventually got tired of having to BEG to work so I just sit and wait (and read books in my googledrive)

Poverty, seething-at-wealthy-people vibes

At least say the company is doing shady stuff like tracking users, or it horribly vain like Instagram net negativing society
