There's more genetic diversity between two neighboring groups of chimpanzees than there are between humans on far flung continents. We're too new to have had time to develop appreciable differences and there's almost always been more than enough gene flow to level things out. just as there are mixed people who have inherited the looks of just one side, there are mixed people who have inherited other physical or mental traits of just one side.

furthermore, everyone is a mix of some ancient races. euros are white and afros black because the ancient races of these areas all had similar skin color, but still differed in some aspects.

You can have a black/white mixed kid that looks pitch black, but has the personality and mentality of a white person or the other way around.
