They must have no basic economics knowledge to not being able to answer this, if GDP falls down then goods and services aren't being provided, meaning people have less things to go by with.
Japan went from being the second world economy to the fifth, and people are relatively poorer than in the 90s even with the improvements in productivity of the last 30 years.
Meanwhile Canada is the other side of the equation, it's growing in a way that benefits the elites, which is the reason why mass migration is being allowed, while shafting the working class.
You can see the problems with mass migrations without blaming migrants looking for a better life, if you were in their position is very likely you'd want to be a migrant too, not too long ago Spanish people were illegal migrants in Northern Europe.

For what I read online, a family doctor is like in Spain that you automatically get assigned one when you register for social security, so everyone has one, and to get medical attention you need to add for a date with them, just like in Spain, so I don't believe you.
A different thing is that when you need to get some more advanced treatment like a non-urgent operation the waiting list is too long, that's a problem but that's a problem with the healthcare system not being able to handle as many patients as it receives and that's mainly because boomers clog it, migrants are generally young and young people don't go to the doctor ofter.
