GQuuuuuux is pretty disappointing. I had high hopes at the beginning, but after maybe episode 5 or 6 I started to feel like they weren't going to do anything interesting with the characters, especially given Shuji was treated more like a plot device than a character. Little did I know Machu was also a plot device to get us to some multiverse nonsense.
I'll admit I've basically watched no UC stuff and I only started watching 0079 after I started GQuuuuuux, so maybe the show just isn't for me because I don't have nostalgia for Bask Om or Challia or the Psyco Gundam. However, I had hoped the show would stand on its own instead of needing to be a companion piece.

The one who didn't listen was the Netflix live action director. He refused to meet with Tomino, and cut Tomino off from accessing any information about the film's production. Tomino publicly said he was not happy and didn't approve. Then the live action director was fired shortly afterwards.
