Many anti-Christians seem to think that the Gospels say that Christ was crucified, buried in the tomb, and a few days later some of his followers showed up and the body was gone, and Christians see that alone as "proof" of his resurrection. Most them think that the resurrected Christ was only seen by a couple of people before quickly ascending into heaven and never being seen again.
But the Bible (in many different places in different books of the NT) actually says that the risen Jesus was seen by all of his disciples, and many other people. He continued to meet and teach with them, had meals with them, and spent another 40 days with them before finally ascending to heaven for good, an event the disciples also
Paul lists several different groups of people who saw a living Jesus after his crucifixion, including a group of 500 people, many of who were still alive and could personally testify to that at the time he was writing his letters.
One of the main reasons why Christianity was so compelling to people in that period was because it wasn't just a couple of Jesus's former followers making these claims, it was hundreds if not thousands of people who saw a very active and living Jesus for over a month after his crucifixion and death.
