Other Indians were either pissed off gas station workers or hotel managers. Ones that eat a lot of Indian food smell like hippies, but never had a reason to hate them. I think it is a few things together.

1. there reached a tipping point where they have taken over entire cities and so they can't hide under the radar anymore
