Did you know PERU is a highly indigenous country?

With approximately 40-45% of its population identifying as indigenous, totaling about 8-9 million people. The population includes over 50 distinct indigenous groups speaking nearly 50 languages, with the largest groups being the Quechua and Aymara peoples in the Andes.

With construction occurring between approximately 200 BCE and 600 CE, the Nazca people created these enormous geoglyphs by removing the dark, reddish-brown stones on the desert's surface to expose the lighter-colored subsoil beneath!

The Inca surge began in 1438 when Pachacuti became emperor and began to conquer neighboring tribes. This expansion grew into a massive empire, lasting until the arrival of the Spanish in the 1530s. While the Inca kingdom was founded around 1200, its rapid expansion into a vast empire occurred after 1438.

After Inca Huayna Capac died however, his sons Huascar and Atahualpa fought for the throne starting a succession crisis. Huascar claimed legitimacy from Cusco: the traditional capital, while Atahualpa had the support of the northern army based in Quito. Their dispute, a brutal civil war, severely weakened the Inca Empire just before the Spanish arrived!

they somehow managed to build an empire larger than Rome that lasted probably more than them with nothing but rope knots they read on calculated on chess boards and read with their poncho patterns
they subsisted of diet of potatoes korn and llama cherky, posibly milk and cheese too and could portray realistic faces in pottery
chill religion as far as i know, they worshiped their ancestors (viracocha) the sun, (inti) the moon (mamaquinoa), the sea (mamacocha), the earth (pachamama), the storms (illapa), the dead (zupai)
they were known to incorporate pantheons of conquered trives into their own, although their gods were more like forces of nature and simbolism, there aren´t known stories of bickerign between them as there is with valhalla, the vedas and olympus, or at least not many that survive

they would not have been conquered had it not being for deceaces and their king being captured on their first encounter with spaniards
they are able to thrive at altitudes most people can barelly survive

their creator god called Viracocha is said to have emerged from lake Tipicaca, or maybe came from the north, i´m not sure, aparently he sailed east after establishing the inca empire
it is represented as a tal bearded man with golden hair, and he has many helpers that are also viracocha. modern archeology call it a god, but the description is clearly a population

there are theories that the founders were a Celtish population that began a long migration from India during the Vedas and settler among the Maori folk in New Zeland, but that´s an entirely different rabbit hole

A confluence of political infighting, weak institutions, widespread corruption, and deep societal divides has caused Peru to have a succession of eight presidents since 2016. A feature of the 1993 constitution (impeachment) makes this instability worse by giving Congress and the presidency the power to remove one another.

The architest of all this is Vladimiro Montesinos. He was the manager of the corruption network that defined Alberto Fujimori's government (1990-2000), and his fall in 2000 triggered the most serious political crisis in Peru's recent history. His corrupting influence has left a lasting mark on public distrust of Peruvian institutions, a factor that has contributed to the current political instability.

Dod you know there were no white indigenous in PERU before the Spanish arrived?

The idea of white indigenous peoples in Peru is a misconception based on historical revisionism and pseudoarchaeology, similar to the false claim that white people founded the Inca Empire. Genetic evidence shows that modern Cusqueños and Quechua-speaking people across the Andes are descendants of the Incas. A 2018 genetic study specifically identified DNA markers connecting modern families in Cusco to the Inca imperial lineage!

Did you know PERU is the most Catholic country in all of South America?

PERU is a predominantly Catholic country due to its history of Spanish colonization, which introduced Catholicism in the 16th century and made it the official religion for centuries. Native traditions weren't outright erased though. They often fused with Catholicism, creating a unique religious landscape that persists today!

Did you know October a vital month for Christians in PERU?

October is known as the "purple month" because of the celebrations for the Lord of Miracles (Señor de los Milagros). This is one of the most significant religious events in all of South America!

It is marked by elaborate processions where thousands of the faithful, dressed in purple, follow a sacred image through the streets. The devotion is particularly strong in Lima, where the tradition originated, but it's also celebrated across the whole world by the Peruvian diaspora!

The devotion began in 1651 when an enslaved man painted an image of Christ on an adobe wall in Lima. The image miraculously survived a major earthquake in 1655, leading to its veneration as miraculous.

I've been twice because I used to date a peruvian girl. Went to ilo, tacna, moquegua, arregipa, and lima. The coast was a barren hellscape, but the mountains were nice. Police were only mildly corrupt, easy and cheap to bribe but they shook me down a few times. Criminals were comically weak and ineffective, I fought off three mugging attempts between two trips and it was laughable. The food is mostly bland and unappetizing, but I loved lomo saltado, cabrito, and pollo la brasa, cuey was a novelty but basically was no different than fried squirrel. In general the people were very friendly and it's one of the cleaner shithole countries I've visited and also very light on scams. The upper-class peruvians were insufferable though, basically the SA version of Congo Dandies. I regret never getting to do the tourist stuff so I may go back. My last trip there was interesting because I look very similar to that Dutch guy who had just murdered a girl in Lima and I kept getting mistaken for him.

That and incas actually have a real army in the sense they were waging actual real wars of conquests against peer adversaries such as the chimur, and on the diplomatic side they were smart enough to offer potential subjects real benefits instead of "I brutally sacrifice you last", that and intermarrying.
Fun fact, some of the incas, like the aztecs, married the spanish, with their offspring still around occupying positions of powers:

This is the open secret no one talks about, their bloodline never truly extinguished.

Did you know guinea pigs in the wild are significantly more aggressive?

Andean peoples domesticated the guinea pig (known as cuy in the Andes) primarily as a tasty, reliable, convenient, and sustainable source of food, dating as far back as 5,000 BCE. Beyond sustenance, the animal also held significant roles in ritual, medicine, and as a symbol of cultural identity!

and i fcuk the girl all night long. first night we kissed so much. it was so hot, second night we went all the way, and every time i cum inside.

>have you ever been to those fights where women beat the shit out of each other in traditional clothes it looks really cool
Did you know those wrestling matches are actually staples of Bolivian Culture?

Its roots can be found in the Quechua tradition of "takanakuy" which means "to hit each other" or "to beat each other". In PERU, takanakuy is celebrated annually in Chumbivilcas but the famously extravagant wrestling matches actually take place in the Bolivian city of El Alto!

Did you know the Spanish only defeated the Inca because they were helped by their rivals?

The Chancas people of Vilcashuamán for example were conquered by the Inca Empire before the Europeans arrived. Their defeat was so decisive that the Inca ruler Pachacútec even chose the Chanca regional capital of Vilcashuamán to construct a major administrative center, symbolizing Inca dominance.

Unfortunately the Chancas people bitter resentment and long-standing rivalry with the Incas made them join forces with the Spanish as a way to take revenge and regain their independence. Historical estimates suggest tens of thousands of Chanca warriors together with other indigenous allies fought alongside the Spanish conquistadors against the Incas. Sources indicate that during the decisive siege of Cusco in 1535, Francisco Pizarro commanded a force that included 30,000 native allies, with the Chanca, Huancas, and Cañari being the principal groups.

>what is the jaguar wall called ?
You are probably thinking of the twelve-angled stone located on Hatun Rumiyoq Street, a popular, narrow cobblestone road in the historic center of Cusco. It is part of a wall that once belonged to the palace of the Inca ruler Inca Roca, and is now the Archbishop's Palace.
>What's the women like there ?
Depends from region to region. City women are more liberal whereas rural women are more traditional. Overall, based on an Ipsos Perú study from 2020, 65% of the population identified as "conservative" regardless of gender.
>And what's are relations to equator you say quichwa do they have long standing historical connection to this day ?
Relations between Peru and its neighbors, Ecuador and Bolivia,
are generally amicable, cooperative, and built on a foundation of shared cultural history. However, both relationships have faced historical tensions and, more recently, periods of diplomatic friction driven by political and ideological differences.
>do you like chillie ?
Chile is an important economic partner for Peru, particularly in terms of trade and investment
. This is despite a history of tense political relations, with the economic partnership often described as following a "separate strings" or "double track" approach, where economic cooperation is pursued independently of diplomatic friction.

Very nice, OP. It's interesting, informative, and it's wholesome fun. One question though. You could have posted this thread somewhere else. Why would you post such an this kind of pleasant thread on this shitty website? This is the place for video game addicts, porn addicts, unemployed losers, incel nazis, and anime pedophiles to act like they're way more sophisticated than they really are.
