>it's embarrassing
i won't pry then if you'd rather keep it to yourself, no worries
>I regret not doing more
when you're depressed you're restless yet have no energy, so you start to feel shame eventually because nothing gets done. it's a vicious cycle. it's hard to break out of that state, so don't beat yourself up over it too much. there's always your next school break, right?
what hobbies did you get into?
>Vegas
ive always been curious to play in a casino. they have them in my state but you have to be 21+ to play so i've yet to go. the closest i've gotten to it was playing on a video blackjack machine in a gas station a few years ago. you could only win store credit though and bet min $1 and max $5, so nothing crazy. i used to play there after school sometimes if my dad didn't show up on time to pick me up, it was before i learned to drive. fun times
>other gambling games?
yeah if you're scared of losing money i would say avoid it all together, it'll happen eventually. and never bet more than what you're willing to lose ofc. i like having the mind set of money bet is money already lost
other than poker i like blackjack, craps and dominoes. i've only played with friends and family. i hope it doesn't sound like im some kind of gambling addict haha, i don't play that often. i don't like gacha so can't say much about it. closest i could say i got to that is the ptcg, i would buy packs casually. pokenormies suddenly joining in-mass and scalpers drove me out of the hobby though
>could make it a habit
it's never too late to start!
>Do you usually keep your room clean?
i try to. but sometimes i get lazy. i do make my bed every morning, it's a good habit to have

i was thinking more of one of those tube ones for support but i suppose that works, i doubt it's any different
wouldn't an eiki cover make the most sense? what do you think?

that sucks! ive bruised my ribs before too, it's such a pain to deal with. idk if you'll see this but make sure you're icing it if you aren't (cold showers are great too) and if you feel phlegm building gently cough it out if you can so that you don't get an infection. if you feel like you can do it, try taking brief walks and gently stretching every now and again too. hope you manage to get lots of rest, get well soon!

So far, so good. I've been taking it as easily as I can so far too B^).
>>82738509
>do tell haha.
>B^) Well, one idea I had more recently was around having something like a cyborg, but the reverse of what people expect. Instead of the brain being, well, a brain and the body being augmented with mechanical it bits it was going to be the inverse. The body is largely normal, flesh and bone, but most of the brain(brain stem, hypothalamus and pituitary glands remain) was replaced with a kind of computer. You'd also need a good power source and the idea I came up with to avoid the issue of needing to remote charge it(alternating magnetic fields aren't very good and also the devices would be conspicuous) was to have engineered tissue that would produce an electrical charge. Think electric eels, but with that tissue tucked away either as part of the synthetic brain with blood flowing through to supply it or elsewhere in the body and connected up to the brain. The blood flowing through the brain though could also be used for cooling, somewhat.

The main issue is with power consumption, as flesh brains are actually incredibly power efficient for their workings. It'd make the one Cold War concept of a spy cat actually viable, as one thing. Beyond that though it'd make for good spy movie stuff and I had ideas about a tyrannical overlord who rules over a feudal, medieval world where he has his own guards that have similar imparts as well as various mythical beasts and special agents he uses to watch over the realm.

I got this B^).
>we gotta use our brains!!! And maybe a bit of occult

See, I'd figure there has to be some weird stuff with the Casimir effect. That or maybe there could be some insane, unknown physics to be found out with extremely powerful magnetic fields or extremely high voltages. There is very likely the possibility that our reality can't truly be altered, sadly enough.

If only demons were real though, it'd make things more fun ):
>quite a shame rly, i will have 2 wait 4 my favourite mods 2 come out again
Shouldn't take too long, so many people are excited about EU5 and all. I'd say just a few months after it comes out and most mods will have a port or two out for public use.
>would u prefer it if they took it easy?
Of course, although just having them get their minds off of all of that would help immensely in that way. One can dream.

Pretty much, that or as a spy. Arguably it could function better than human, brain-function-wise. The chips you run your GPU or CPU on are only 1-layer of transistors, transistors which are absolutely tiny. If you get over the heat and power inefficiency issues then you can make a computer the size of a brain that can handle far, far more computation than a human brain could. Iirc the frequency the brain operates at is something around 20 hertz, where as your CPU operates in the gigahertz range.

Also they could spy on people and as a story element you can always have the horror of knowing that the body of a character was then puppeted whilst their brain was thrown out. Murdered and then used as a shell for some machine.
>yeah! Have u done anything kewl 2day?
Not too much, just been doing chores and helping my mom. Did do a good bit of thinking though. How about you?
>i think the Casimir effect is just a weird thing that happens, not something that we can utilize...
My thinking is that it depends on how virtual particles, as described for quantum mechanics, can be impeded. The Casimir effect is implied to be related to those virtual particles, but if the field that generates them is essentially at the same amount of energy at all positions, but is limited to 3 dimensions like our own, then I wonder what happens when you have a box that steals energy from that field with something like the Casimir effect. Will radioactive particles end up with different rates of decay? Will the speed of light be altered in that space? Of course, this could all lead to something like the vacuum catastrophe :).
>who knows, mayb they r real?
But they don't have cool magic if they are ):, they'd be more mundane or synchronistic. I want fireballs and portals.

yes I would highly recommend! it's one of my favorite games of all time and I love the ost, the level design is pretty lame though I have to admit but in these kinds of games I don't really care about that all I care about is the combat being good and it is good, it's simple but good also you have innocent devils (familiars) that evolve differently depending on what type of weapon you use and eventually they lay eggs and you can forge (breed) a new one and you can evolve him differently if you want it's pretty fun and if you enjoy grind autism like I do you're gonna love getting every single type of armor and weapon in the game.
>i have dificulty reading manga becuz my brain is 2 rotted haha

There's something I have been thinking about

Will the world get worse or get better?
Ever since the pandemic happened, everything got worse than already was, the job market, the economy, the society, the isolation
I though the future was supposed to be much better, not worse than the past

I feel extremely ashamed that I'm already 30 and I never got a job or a decent job, I don't feel like it's my fault, I did tried my best and I did applied to more jobs than I can I remember, but unfortunately, they keep ghosting me and I did give up

It's even worse when you can't drive because it means I have to depend on public transportation and they suck
The problem is that I don't feel like trying again
NOT because I like the neet life, the neet life sucks
But because going to interviews just to get ghosted is a massive waste of time and money

As a neet without neetbux, I don't know what I'm supposed to do with my life and it sucks

Also, I don't want to die soon, I want to live as long as possible and still be healthy, but I don't want the future to only get worse and worse, I genuinely want the future to be better, not just for America, I want the entire world to better

Yup! Self awareness is necessary, same with free will to a point. Free will without influences is impossible, not even humans have it, but the ability to make decisions is essential in any kind of mission.
>Would it truly be human?
My original idea was actually to have them as synthetic humans in homunculus(stitched together artificial tissue, a body that was never born but instead fabricated) bodies. The brain would come first and they could even choose how they want their body to look :). I imagine they could be good lab assistants >B^).

Since they interface with all of our fleshy hardware then they would also be able to taste, feel, hear, smell and see as we do. If I was able to make them, I'd make them as human as I could. Probably without them having a sex drive though, as any babies they had would be completely unlike them. A digital equivalent would have to be done for baby making, where different values that go into making their personality/brain structure are mixed to make a new baby.
>that's true. Sort of like stuff with the synths in fallout 4!
Yup, except the synths in that game sucked B^).
>We wouldn't want that happening o_O
Yeah, it could be one of those great filters that stop ayy lmaos from being space faring and all of that. I doubt it though, we should see evidence of that if it was and the proposals for vacuum decay have it spreading at the speed of light. Our galaxy would be gone if in the billions of years before our existence any of the galaxies near us, or our own, have a civilization cause such an event. Alternatively it could be very local, like a big explosion. If it does really cause effects as far as radioactive decay and what not goes then it may actually cause something like a matter/anti-mater explosion as just about everything that's more than a proton suddenly explodes.

I think it'd be safest to test all of that outside of the solar system though B^).

True, if they feel pleasure from those parts then they'd probably do it out of boredom. I think a lot of the talk with consciousness being a mystery is that it can't be very definitively defined. As far as I see it, consciousness is emergent when enough of the right systems interact with one another.

>okay maybe i don't want 2 b a lab assistant then haha
kek, at least a lot of the tedium of lab work isn't very intensive.
>so u'd give em emoitons then?
Of course, emotions are essential to our consciousness and to be human itself. The idea in science fiction that emotions can be gotten away with is silly and wrong. They confuse the loss of emotions with the reduction of them. Emotions themselves also aren't bad, like is also claimed. Emotions and our moods evolved very specifically -because- they're so useful in adapting to our environments and responding to it.

>sometimes it feels like life would b so much better without them...
Nah, life would be empty without them. You'd be an automaton with no direction, no directive and no drive. We dislike the pain, but the pain is a disincentive for us against certain actions. Incentives and disincentives are necessary for us to establish a direction in our lives or a purpose for them. Without emotions you would be hollow and if you must still perform tasks then you'd be little more than a slave to whoever directs you.

>ur brain would still b vulnerable 2 blunt trauma even if ur bones don't break
>unless the material would absorb the strikes very well...
True, although this can be remedied, albeit very invasively. The woodpecker has its own solution to brain tears and rips, behold pic related. The idea is that their spongy bone in their skulls is capable of absorbing the blows. Beyond that, a problem with the brain is the fact that rapid acceleration and deceleration can cause the brain to tear inside. If the brain was thus given some kind of elastic, tendon-like portions throughout it then it may be able to withstand said forces without forming tears.

For the Vulcans I assume it has to be most of them. They just seemed very non-volatile and tactful to me. Trying to maximize logic and reason.

Basically I want an oxidizer equivalent for sugar in a biological sense, an energy source that can be reacted with hydrogen gas actually. I want to know what life on a planet with a largely hydrogen atmosphere might try to utilize to store energy in the same way that sugars are here on Earth with our oxygen atmosphere(although they do also use nitrates and other nitrogen compounds to react with sugars via denitrifying bacteria https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denitrification ). So largely it'd need:
>to be organic
>soluble in water
>large molecule compared to H2
>can react with H2
>preferably doesn't cause much of a pH change
I know life can react CO2 with H2 and also H2 with oxygen too, but oxygen and CO2 are harder to keep solutized in water. Malate/Malic acid would be a potential replacement for CO2 and plants actually use it to hold onto CO2 in liquid form as well, but that's the best I've got so far.

Also, as a token of good faith, a cool animal: Pic related is a kind of salamander known as a "siren", they've got two little arms and a long tail. They're fully aquatic too, although some seem to maybe come onto the shore for certain activities. They're native to the Southeastern US too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lesser_siren

The more I reveal, the muddier the waters get! Also early Earth was thought to have had quite a lot of hydrogen. In fact, it's quite expected for a good deal of hydrogen to be present on young worlds, but hycean worlds( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hycean_planet ) are also hypothesized to exist and be very favorable for life. My curiosity stems mostly from knowing that life originated very quickly in the history of the Earth, if the isotopic evidence is true. That means life would've originated largely in that reducing atmosphere and LUCA, the Last Universal Common Ancestor is also thought to have been part of an ecosystem in a hydrogen-rich environment last that I remember.

I assume transition metal based catalysts (Pd, Pt, Ru, etc) are not an option. Best bet for something purely organic would be enzymes like hydrogenases, that can oxidize H2. There are some borane compounds that can 'split' H2 and store it. No idea about their stability in water though off of the top of my head. So maybe borane based life forms?

Actually a metal based catalyst can pretty much be assumed, life does actually use various metals in their enzymes(which are just protein-based catalysts that can also do motive work too). Zinc is a really popular metal that life will use for its catalysts, but even more exotic stuff like molybdenum(that's actually necessary for nitrogenase to make bioavailable nitrogen).
>borane
Maybe? I'm not sure. I honestly was thinking maybe some kind of organic sulfur compounds might be used since I can't think of many organic compounds that have lots of oxygens on them. I think that's because CO2 is rather stable, isn't it? So it's the preferred arrangement for carbon and oxygen to be bonded, right? If that's the case though then maybe chalcogens are a bust and thus may be ideal -- but I know fluorocarbons are rather stable too, much to our detriment with PFAS.
>>82761638
>I guess theoretically you could also just think of unsaturated carbon carbon bonds as potential hydrogen acceptors. C=C -> H-C-C-H
I think there are actually some organisms here on Earth who do that. Whatever it is though needs to be able to stay soluble in water so it's in the cells themselves -- although perhaps ammonia could work as a solvent over water. People have theorized about that being possible for life too.

What about chlorine-carbon compounds, what are they like?

Phosphor has one of the highest affinities towards oxygen, so those compounds might also be an option. Chlorine attached to an otherwise saturated carbon isn't very reactive towards H2 gas. You'd only get a reaction under high pressure, high temp or in presence of a catalyst Chlorine is a pretty bad leaving group. >B^) unethical experiments involving stretching and squishing brain organoids with various mutations. Essentially you'd be doing selective breeding but with cell lines. The brain organoids that do the best have artificial sex and their "offspring" then go through another bout of testing. I figure that you either make certain cells adapt to produce better connective tissue or forming themselves to be more like springs.
>how would u explain all the missing mass then?
I personally think there's a lot of large, dark bodies out there in the interstellar voids that we just can't easily detect or observe.

Well being so depressed is gonna make it hard to enjoy anything, so you should focus on fixing that first. I know a lack of socializing can actually numb people to their emotions and will generally make people feel more depressed, so socializing will help out with all of that. Mine likes to shift like 20-30 minutes, but whenever I try to resist it then it'll snap forward some amount. One reason for sleep schedule issues can actually be from artificial light, namely blue light from your computer screen can trick your brain into thinking it's still day.

thats cause its easier to (over)stay awake than it is to get to sleep early, s why skipping a nights sleep works, its also used to combat depression (which can simply be caused by sleeping too much), i think its worth a try, especially if you have a 20-30min a day drift, thats a lot, the artificial blue light thing is kind of a meme, but you could try watching black n white stuff, my go to snooze show is the original twilight zone

Black and white won't work for the blue light, since white light on your screen uses it. Usually they either use some screen setting or they wear those yellow-tinted goggles. Also I loved the old Twilight Zone, but I haven't seen it in ages. I should pirate some episodes of that for the future. My method to go to sleep is not a good one though. I tend to think really depressing thoughts to make myself go to sleep. It works, but I wouldn't recommend it.

For depression though, another method to help with it is exercise. Do you walk very much as you are? Exercise will actually cause your hippocampus(the mood center of the brain) to grow in size too. A lack of exercise will make it shrink a bit too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurobiological_effects_of_physical_exercise#Structural_growth

I wouldn't call it too hidden, this board does regularly gripe about it after all B^). Social animals tend towards something like eusociality so long as being more social means better dominance either over other groups intraspecies or over the ecology in general. Humans have leaned towards both advantages for a while now B^). The only thing stopping us from being truly eusocial would be our reproductive hurdles, especially since the ones who produce the most genetically similar offspring aren't women but men. Historically nobles and kings and emperors had an outstanding genetic footprint in their respective gene pools and the lowest classes were always at below replacement fertility. When times got good though then that dynamic changed. Now it's largely the upper echelons of our society over replacement fertility and the lowest from what I last remembered -- and not for all nations! It's a mess out there.
>mind if i send u over them in private?

Pretty well, but I had some weird dreams about my grandpa's house. Two separate ones. For some reason when I dream about his house I'm prone to dreaming about the canal system where he lived actually being a set of lake systems. It was really tranquil in the first dream though, calm and clear water(a rarity in Florida) with lots of sagittaria grass. Pretty setting too. Second dream had a sudden tornado though and the whole place was like a resort.

>i meant like an actual hivemind! Like borg stuff yk?
Oh, I see. Not quite the zeitgeist then. Personally hiveminds in fiction kind of bore me, but I'm all too familiar with hiveminds in nature and they're overhyped. They usually suck with responding to novel stimuli and can also get into silly situations. Here's a nice example with ants :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mA37cb10WMU

The reason that's believed for this kind of thing is that they're following their own scent trails and at the same time strengthening them. They'll either break out of the cycle or die of exhaustion/starvation.
>when r they gonna start mass producing those???
If only... The guy behind the video did hint that he could make one with a quarter of a mile(about 1/2 a kilometer) range that was 30 feet tall if he had won the lottery. Maybe if he gets enough money and support from that video he'll do it. I can imagine something like that being used in a fantasy setting too. Everyone loves lightning :).

>i don't think i would place a resort in a tornado place...
Yeah it was a weird moment in the dream. There was some wind and then a sudden tornado and I woke up as it was heading to us and we were trapped. Tornados aren't very common here, but you do get some during hurricanes.

i used to be same, had a crt tv for retro gaming, but it broke, so i figured id just get a smart tv and join the cool kids, its nice watching a movie in bed sometimes
>Also hiking is great for exercise to help out with that, I'd say. Did you feel better back when you used to hike more?
mmm hard to say, different life really, i could say yes but i think it boils down to being able to cope with existential dread better? i dunno man
>I really do love it, I've had my own ideas about similar experiments. Some of them to even break the assumptions of the limits for life, like the maximum temperature life can live in or how small life can get. Another was for making life live in an osmotic hell-hole too :)
thats why i love microbiology, it really shows you the limits of existence, adaptation and diversity, like slime molds being single celled organisms, or the mega virusses you can see without tools, crazy shit right?
also loved how pylori was only discovered fairly recently because the growth media we use are too alkaline for it to grow, really shows you how limited our field of view is when it comes to nature, and now with things like full genome sequencing not costing millions, and big data capabilities its really an exciting time, i hope to go back to research some time, studies like sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2666498424001078 really get me going
diagnostics is fine n all but it gets rather boring, the few times i find something interesting is usually bad news for the patient, so its hard to be enthusiastic about it

All good, I fell asleep anyhow too. Hopefully your smart TV doesn't come with any issues though. It seems businesses love planned obsolescence these days, that and subscription services.

Well, see if hiking helps more in the future. It's always good for our psyche to be surrounded by nature and to exercise. We evolved for over a million years to walk and jog for hours a day, now we just sit around all day.

I had no idea you were so into microbiology! You should've said so sooner! There's also bacteria so large that you can see it with the naked eye. Thiomargarita magnifica, which translates to "The magnificent sulfur pearl". They're bacteria that have converged quite a bit on Eukaryote features and have become massive without mitochondria! The reason for their size though is an internal membrane that pushes their important bits to the cell wall and also helps them store goodies. It's a clever trick to get over a lack of mitochondria, seeing as the square cube law hinders them otherwise with ATP synthesis being required at the cell's surface.

Hope you have a good day too! Also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thiomargarita_magnifica
I'll have more microbe neatness for you next time B^).

Some biologists(I almost typed 'parasites' there) don't even want to say that we can get rid of all mosquitos either.

The slip 'n slide calls, fren. It cares not for your consent, I'm afraid. The solar system has fallen, billions must slide.

We do something kind of similar to soften our ribs, just with the oven though. We add some ice and cook it at a low temperature for a good, long while and then pour out the water and season it properly. I fear what I may do with a pressure cooker if I ever get my hands on one though B^).
>>82773953
There are people who do still make proper antique furniture if you can find them. I imagine they're mostly on Boomerbook these days. Also speaking of resin tables, you reminded me of a table making video I saw a good while back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yUn2nMfuAU
The idea of using something like clear resin is neat at least for making certain designs, but I'm not a fan of plastics. I've had ideas about making silver embedded in gemstones though. All synthetic, but hopefully cool B^).

I don't imagine the field guide would help me too much :'), the mushroom sightings in my area are very low. I gotta go some distance away, I think.

An electron microscope is still cool to use! Also I've had ideas for some experiments to challenge the notion that microbial activity stops at about 0.6 water activity(a measure mostly used in relation to food). Honey has a water activity of around 0.5-0.7 depending on things, as a reference and distilled water is 1(the benchmark) whilst seawater is like 0.98. The idea was to use something like an ever increasing solution of magnesium chloride solution for algae to grow in.

Essentially you'd be breeding extremophiles in the lab. Multiple cultures would be the go to in order to inch worm to an ever increasing salinity. One culture gets a bump, if it goes extinct then you simply go back to the prior salinity and inoculate it with one of its cousin cultures. As for why it's magnesium chloride, that's the least toxic/temporary of the salts that I found from this pdf: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1002/9780470376454.app1
It gets well below the 0.6 aw threshold too and it's cheap. Bromide salts are iffy and microbes(life generally) doesn't like them too much. Caesium fluoride is the coolest out of the bunch for a super dense solution, but it would also be toxic. The hydroxides will turn into carbonates over time and the acetate is something that microbes would like to eat.

Also amoebas can be really neat :). Are you saying you wouldn't want to poke a pelomyxa? They apparently feel like touching snot though, so not anything impressive. Also is that a mold culture? I mean I can see what definitely looks like mold growing on the surface, but the stuff under it looks kind of more like worms, but that surely can't be the case. Also you'd probably love this channel: https://www.youtube.com/@journeytomicro

I'm actually playing Kobolds in singleplayer right now,. Learning from my mistakes a bit, although even with my mistakes I did really well. I got lucky in my singleplayer though in that the gnomes attacked me and Kobold defense is retardedly strong.

Yup, sadly so. I've seen plenty of gators, snakes, all kinds of fish and birds. Never seen a salamander though. Plenty of frogs and tadpoles, but no salamander, not in my area.

Nope! That'd be the gators, which are delicious :)

Nah, although lots of people see tornados there. From what I gather lots of people see them from a distance and enjoy them. Most people in that area will have basements to hide in during tornados too. Isn't Lurker anon from that area though? I'm sure she'd have better insight.

taking it easy on another day off
was supposed to make food yesterday but i slacked off, fish was still frozen so i'll do it today

also today i had a dream where i was visiting my relatives' place with mom, was watching some vids on their old desktop PC (which has long since been removed irl) and she was chatting with some other people there
i remember i cussed out because the mouse was acting up and she went like "gawd that's awful, anon" and i looked to my side and saw she was there with some old guys i've never seen before
old dude came greet me saying "so you're already an adult huh?" to which i responded "yeah, practically an old man now, even"
then i went fiddle with the usb ports to get the mouse to work properly and almost caused an electric fire (some plastic parts melted), woke up during all that

also, think it's been long enough

Yup! Most life will die at the temperature it takes to boil water, but pressure cookers can keep a very steady temperature at an even higher pressure and thus higher boiling point. You could go for higher temps, but when you want to sterilize stuff like glass then to my knowledge you want to keep the temperatures consistent because glassware is more prone to temperature shock.

It's always for the best to overlook these days B^).
>ah that makes sense, i didn't think of that
Yeah, boiling points are so very useful for temperature control. You can even use them in more industrial applications with things like salts and metals boiling at hundreds of degrees C instead of just 100. It's just a major safety hazard is all B^). Do you like lead or mercury vapors? I hear they're not good for you though.
>at this point why not just use alcohol?
>pressure cooker sounds so convoluted for that kind of use
I do remember for organic chem that one way they'll clean up organic junk on their glassware is to use alcohol and hydroxides, like sodium hydroxide. The issue with sterilizing things though is that a lot of bacteria produce really hardy spores that can survive the alcohol and even high pH or low pH solutions, but boiling them in water destroys them. Spores usually are designed to break down in water, although that can take a while. Heat things up and suddenly it doesn't matter if the spore breaks open or not B^).

They do also use flame sterilization for quick uses too, usually whilst they're being blown on by a laminar flow hood to keep any spores or bacteria from the environment getting back onto things. The idea is that you use a tool, like an inoculation loop, on a culture and then you put it into an alcohol flame. They use electrically heated sterilizers too these days.
>don't let the glowies catch you
B^) it's okay, once they realize I'm a NEET they'll just go away. But if they want some of my ideas for WMDs then I'd be happy to oblige if they pay me :).

>would u eat fried gator?
Yup! I've had fried gator tail, it was great. Basically little gator nuggets, or I guess tenders since they were whole chunks of meat. I had them at a fair here ages back, I highly recommend them. Far, faaar better than the funnel cake. They always have funnel cake because they know it'll make you puke more easily when you go on their rides.
>what about the roofs? That surely must b the weak-spot!
Yeah, they're sadly the weak spot here. When hurricanes hit a lot of roofs just get ripped right off. I've thought about having titanium or aluminum roofs before, basically just with plates. I've seen some houses seemingly with that around here now, but the wooden frames that make up the roofs are also a weak point, not just the tiles. Alternatively could build homes entirely out of concrete if you make them dome-shaped, or better yet I'd want to live in the ground but it's too wet here for that :'(.

Enjoy takin' it easy today o7.

Also I would say it's the mind that makes us human, or where our humanity is. I've had weird ideas about trying to piece together a person from just tissues, like a weird equivalent of Frankenstein, and my assumption is that if you can't give the constructed brain knowledge and memories then they'd be more like a feral child. Lacking in language, acting more like an animal.

>what made you come up with this anyway?
Since I'm a pretty reclusive person, I always figured that if I got the ability to independently do my own thing and live on my own that I'd go for AI lab assistants. The problem with them is that batteries kind of suck in terms of how much power they can store. My idea before on how to counter that was with wireless charging or having something some kind of connector rod going up to the roof to draw power from. Living creatures don't have these problems though, so why not have your AI pilot a flesh suit instead of a metal one? B^).
>btw, what gave you away, to me, was the ":)" after the "i did it" and the music was very mad scientist like haha. i was also looking out for metal songs since i think you've said before that's what you listen to
I see, I see. In all honesty I was listening to that music whilst actually imagining dark sci-fi scenarios. I'll have to plan better for the next time around B^). I do also listen to metal songs, but weeby songs are what I tend to listen to more so. taking it easy while at work
another boring idle day... at least the dream wasn't as boring
i remember getting in a fight with some woman over something, we seemed to have been inside a ship or something, maybe in a war, but the space was a bit cramped and full of sharp objects
we traded blows but whenever we struck each other with something sharp, it'd always crash against each other and fall out of our hands (e.g. a forn in my hand would knock a knife out of her hand and i'd drop it as a result)
but i managed to pin her behind me to a wall and grab hold of a knife and just stabbed her heart, right next to my own too (i didn't run myself through though), and went like
>just die already dammit
she eventually did and collapsed on the floor and i woke up, exhausted

Yessir, today's another 4.50 mile day
>tell me more about ur upcoming trip!
The one I'm going on in about two weeks is to the Appalachian mountains to train for the Appalachian trail attempt I'm doing in 2026, which that itself is part of the training for the broader calendar year triple crown I'll be doing in 2028, doing all three trails individually during the best times to do them, then going back and doing all three in one year.

I have no ideia how the neets do it without being homeless

I'm a neet without neetbux and I been very worried about being homeless everyday

I can't believe neets spend years of their lives being neet without worrying about being homeless

>They always weird me out
with me they make me sad, i don't want to hurt anyone
it's painfully sad, i worry about them, even the enemies
the only ones i kill with gusto are people who give me the evil/dark auras and who are genuinely evil or are actively spooking me, like nightmarish monsters

>did the devs change them?
yeah, not sure how long ago but by the time i started, they were already like that

>Tell me about the space travel
game has research going on, which costs resources and duplicant operation
some research unlocks rocket parts (cargo holds, engines, cockpits, etc.) and you build a rocket platform in space and send it off
you'll have to deal with exhaust though, often carbon dioxide but sometimes steam or even nuclear fallout (if you're using the radbolt engine)
game has a starmap and engines can travel X tiles for a certain amount of fuel and oxidizer (some engines use no oxidizer though), also depends on rocket height
you can find other asteroids or points of interest with other resources (hydrogen, gold amalgam, water, etc.

Better head to bed soon. I started reading before bed last night. I almost never read outside of work but I'm really enjoying reading The Creative Gene by Hideo Kojima a lot. Some good insights into his weird brain.

Mostly just talks that aren't relevant to me but also my proctoring assignments. Two three-hour exams at 9:30am...
>Now that u got that out of the way wut r u gonna do 2day?

darksydephil consistently streams twice a day, six days a week, and uploads over 5 videos daily, and he's been doing this for over 10 years

are you putting in that kind of effort into improving your situation, anon? if not, how could you expect similar results flowing into your bank account?

Except his streams are extremely boring, his money is from paypigs and he waste it all on WWE CHAMPIONS

I just want his money, but no way in hell I would trade my life for his, I don't want his life not in a million years

barely taking it easy at home
trying to distract myself with games but not quite working, i still feel a bit too lonely
i wonder if i should finally try gw2 and get over my anxiety, lol
and if i do, i wonder if i should use my old or new name...

>have u ever played on the older versions?
no not really, like i said, by the time i started it was already like that

>is every single planet destroyed?
well they're all "asteroids", the planets themselves all got shattered in some cosmic cataclysm or something
the game is too goofy for that to matter much though, lol
