because when you're actually hanging your survival instinct immediately kicks in and your only thought is "I DONT WANNA DIE PLEASE GOD NO"
no matter how suicidal or depressed you are, there's always regret, that's why i think suicide is such a shame because most people innately want to live.
i only support suicide if you're like in an adolf hitler type situation where you're gonna be tortured to death if you stay alive and get captured, thats the only time its justifiable.
