I was a fan from the anime first so my POV is different, I already liked the franchise and it's neat to play with all the Umas that didn't get as much screentime.

I think it's a game that I can always return even if I'm not playing frenetically every week (especially knowing that there's a lot of future modes, etc).

To unlock skills that sometimes enable your hors's entire play set, or to guarantee a skill that you may not get from your cards' RNG. Later on, you can "evolve" your horse's innate skills you unlock into higher leveled skills that cards don't give.
