Been watching weekend recap videos from different teams in indycar and I'm learning that some fans make homemade gifts for the drivers, and then they give the gifts to the drivers during autograph sessions, and then the drivers have to pretend to be impressed and gracious... and it's not little kids doing it, it's full on adults

not sure the exact dollar amount, but could be $800k+
there's also an expiration date, at which point the extra money disappears
