>This is a sign she doesn't like you
No shit. That's why it's a red flag. It's a dumb bitch that wants a free meal.
>Conversely I'm going to say guy who expect you to have kids and do all the child stuff while still working. Like sorry I want to spend time with the being that spent a year inside me
I don't want kids.
Great! We are terrible for each other!
No free meal for you.

I got to the second area like you said. Still dropped it. I'm not gonna walk for hours and hours to collect the resources to make roads and ziplines to make the "walking" faster and less tedious. The base activity (walking) should be fun in the first place.
Look at how Zelda TotK handled traversal in their Korok delivery mini games. I mean this is essentially what Death Stranding is. Deliver something from A to B, there are obstacles and you risk losing your package. Or even just getting Link access to previously inaccessible areas, such as some really high sky island. You are required to prepare rockets, wings, equipment so you don't freeze, food for energy to climb up. The not-knowing if you have enough resources while going on this expedition makes it suspenseful and fun. Are you going to make it? Let's use resources effectively. That is good gameplay.
Death Stranding is literally just walking. I do that already in real life, exploring real mountains and viewing real scenery.
