FRIEND is literally Chara. Both call themselves your humble servant, FRIEND hands you a joystick to let you play the "original game where you decide what you want" and grind EXP in the sword route.

Susie and Noelle are the most important parts of the story and each one is going to be key for you to change things on both routes

Reposting because I want more theories and input
Time loop theory has opened up the possibility to me that Susie is actually fucked up and is keeping the entire world in stasis against its will.
This would build resentment towards her for anyone aware of the loop, or fear that knocking her out of it would make something even worse happen. Ralsei makes a huge point on normal and Snowgrave about things being fine "as long as Susie's happy".
Noelle being a wild card is interesting because both Kris and Ralsei fear her potential and choices. Maybe Noelle doing something even worse than looping is what Ralsei fears, but she might be key in changing things just the same as Susie.
I can see Noelle and Carol being all for any change and any different fate considering Dess is gone and Rudy is dying.
Could you imagine if you eventually grew to resent Susie for ironically being the wall of fate?
What's odd to me is that you're the person that came from a cry for help, but who called you?
Kris opposes you at every step, he's desperately playing some balancing act.
Ralsei wants you under control just as bad, he fears your potential and what Noelle could do for you.
Susie(unintentionally) is blocking your choices and is strongarming the story from time to time.

Clearly "The Girl That Finds Love" is applicable to both Noelle and Susie, but something to consider is the impact of Noelle instead of Susie.
Susie would just reset time with the power of the SOUL, this is already hinted by a cut opening and her dialogue about an unending story.
What would Noelle do though? Would she use the meta knowledge to peel back layers and change things? It seems that you would be able to control her, right? Use her to change what was set in stone in previous chapters?
