A lot of stuff in the ch 3's games resembles not only Undertale, but specifically the genocide route of Undertale. Also, the specific games that do this were created from, and has memories from, Kris' mind.
This leads to the biggest schizo theory of them all Undertale is a fantasy/dark world in Kris' mind that he replays, sometimes as a pacifist and sometimes as a genocider

I believe Undertale is either a dark world or simply a world in Kris' mind(both are imaginary in a way) featuring copies of characters Kris knows as mentioned in the egg rooms in ch 3(some of them are black and white but most of them are colored in) and as seen in ch 4(Kris meets freakin SO SORRY of all people in a world that's based on a memory of his).
Kris is reliving the Undertale world in his mind, sometimes he's the hero and sometimes he's the villain because the real Kris is generally good but has some repressed trauma about something bad he probably did involving a knife(ch 4 egg room). He is both Frisk and Chara.
