Sacramento Ca spent a lot of money to reimagine their streets. Bike lanes, lanes dedicated for busses and turn restrictions. It was found to slow and delay passenger vehicle traffic.
Which is the intention. They want to make it more inconvenient to drive to force people into busses and onto bicycles. Gasoline taxes are also used to disincentivize people from using personal cars.
The city leaders in Sacramento Ca used tax payer money to intentionally inconvenience the local tax payers to direct them towards using mass transit more.
