Kris characterization? It gives us more insight on Kris and their suppressed violent tendencies? It makes the weird route even more terrifying for Kris as they battle with the fact they know a part of them is enjoying it and they hate themselves for it?
And honestly what value do I NEED to get from this besides, well, that is how the scene reads to me? That is simply how I am analyzing the character and dialogue.

No, it reveals you fundamentally misunderstand what I AM saying, because I never said that anything we do IS derived from Kris' actions or wants. I am saying that independently from our motive for doing the weird route, there is a part of Kris that gets a sick sense of enjoyment and they hate that part. It is a reoccurring detail that Kris has violent tendencies, this is just part of it, that some sick part of them that they chose to suppress enjoyed it. This is unrelated to us or our reasons for doing the weird route, jesus, anon.
And yeah, equipping isn't supposed to make you think shit about Kris, the Eram fight is supposed to make us think about Kris. It is also disingenuous to say, "Well Eram is unnamed so it means nothing" and is an example of simply discarding and ignoring evidence to fit your confirmation bias. Why would the mini boss in a KRIS CENTRIC CHAPTER, THAT IS A FROM A "GAME" ALL ABOUT KRIS' WANTS AND DESIRES INDEPENDENT OF THE PLAYER, NOT GIVE US VITAL KRIS CHARACTERIZATION?
NOBODY IS PUTTING BLAME ON KRIS.
HOWEVER, TOBY IS A GOOD WRITER AND GAVE THEM FLAWS, ONE OF THEM BEING THEIR SUPPRESSED VIOLENT TENDENCIES THAT CAUSE A PART OF THEM TO ENJOY THE WEIRD ROUTE IF SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY CAN SAY IT WASN'T THEM.
