Still irks me that the Snowgrave is written to be almost identical to the main route most of the time.

I think my opinion's stayed the same, but my schizo theorycrafting has definitely improved. That's been fun. On launch I had some theories that I now think are just fuckin' dumb.

I replayed Chapter 3 like 3 times and Chapter 4 I had to restart on the halfway point, the chapters are filled with so much missable stuff that it's kind of getting on my nerves. On the other hand, the boss battles were really good, Tenna, the Mantle holder, the Knight and Jackenstein were very fun boss fights.

I kind of lost interest on the Weird Route though, I don't feel like replaying the game all over again even if I made a second save on Chapter 2 after recruiting Noelle.

The Weird Route was massively frontloaded. Toby had us mindbreak Noelle, kill Berdly and make her scared shitless of (You), and considering Chapter 3 was going to include Toriel and Undyne, everyone thought that we would be forcing Toriel to do something similar, but it fell flat really hard. It doesn't help that you have to technically play the game twice per route, so at least myself I got burned out, at least Undertale's Genocide was short enough.

Well, it wasn't much of a release, since it's only half of the game. But I enjoyed it. I was entertained all the way through and I'm excited to see where it goes next. With a lot of RPGs I've played, there are many sections where I just get kinda bored, but then power through to the more interesting parts. But Deltarune (so far) is very well paced, and has enough interesting novel ideas to make each chapter feel interesting. If I were to have some small nitpicks, I'd probably say the town sections can feel like they drag on a bit too much, with all the different places and characters to talk to. But those interactions are interesting, so it's more of an issue when trying to replay the game, when you want to interact with everything, because the results of those interactions carry over to the next chapters, and could carry over to the future ones. In chapter 3 I also feel like the lack of saves during the TV rounds could make trying to get S ranks (which are important to get the shadow crystal) frustrating, if you don't manage to get them on the first try.

I was initially disappointed while playing chapter 3 because the NES sections felt like they took too long, mostly because I went to every corner of the map over and over again to make sure I got the secret stuff. i actually sorta hated chapter three and four - not the content itself but rather the direction that the story is going

chapter three was fucking hilarious but actually did very little to progress what we know - i was suprised that it was just ralsei, susie and kris again and toriel just fucking sleeps through the whole thing, that felt like an annoying cop-out

we get a bit more meat in chapter four with some prophecy stuff but none of that actually answers any questions we had in chapter one and two, and seems to just pile on even MORE cliffhanger questions.

one part that was kickass was the roaring knight reveal and fight, but like, we still dont fkin know who he is or what he wants - I dislike games/books/tv shows that keep secrets to garner interest and push the answers right to the end of the game where it turns out the revelation is a letdown, and i hope deltarune isn't going to end like that

That happens in 4, in the dark world characters definitely notice that something bad is happening to Kris.

I will agree though that it's a huge flaw that nothing changes in 3 but you still have to go through it to proceed with snowgrave.

Reminder that kris isn't saying please don't to noelle. He's saying it to (you). It's also probably the only time the soul appears directly on the right side on the rightward text option instead of in front of it so it stays in the ventilation shaft when you choose that option.

Deltarune is as much a game about the prophecy/freedom (either breaking it, or being unable to break it or something like that) as it is about the characters.
CH3 was, in my opinion, a way for the fun gang to relax in a dark world, for once, when compared to something like chapter 1 or 2, where they're fighting all throughout. It allowed Susie to mess around with Ralsei, and especially to let her have some form of escapism from the first chat they have about darkners not being real. Then, it all comes crashing down when they get a reality check with the knight, and things get real.
We also got a lot of information about Kris' family life, and lots of speculative info on snowgrave from the sword route.
You can't put much more into a chapter without making it bloated, as seen by the third board being cut content.
Also, I don't know if it's been stated, but I have no reason to believe 5, 6 and 7 will be smaller chapters, so I don't understand why people act like Toby has to rush through the mysteries of the game, when they're all probably very connected.

Isn't Noelle's relationship with Susie kinda awful?

Like everytime Noelle mentions her or talks about her it's ONLY from a fetish and kink standpoint, she's only ever displayed sexual interest, zero interest in who Susie is as a person, what's she's going through, what she's truly like. And the little interactions they've had, Noelle has constantly been trying to "play" her trying to get on her good side by putting down Kris and Berdly if she thinks it'll give her good points with her. Thing is I believe Toby intended the weird route to be something you discover and try after ending the normal route, using the clues the game has littered throughout.
But the chapter-based release completely destroys the intention, as now everyone is doing it without even knowing why.
I believe mindbreaking Noelle is key in whatever happens next, and we're doing everything in our power within our very small range of action in order to get things done, in reality we are supposed to be fighting even harder than everyone else against fate, with full knowledge of what awaits for us in the end, and doing it by any means necessary.

The Knight is Kris's stand as being controlled by Kris as hinted towards by this part in the mantle game and also foreshadowed by how the Knight is suggested to be a shadow creature, like the Shadowmen, so something is probably casting the shadow, Kris.

The Knight fight was Kris summoning his stand to fight the party.

But probably is also related to Dess in some way as also hinted by the Toriel variable changing the shadow creature here to be a Deer and any other Dess hint you will bring up. This theory automatically has more evidence because it engulfs the knight just simply being Dess.
