The 2010s were the true lost decade of Sonic. After Generations Sonic Team clearly didn't know what to do with the series. I try to respect others' opinions but there's almost nothing in that decade for me beyond Colors, Generations and Mania. And even these games have awful stories (Generations and Mania didn't even try but still)

I think Superstars is closer to JP Classic Sonic than Mania which mainly tries to emulate the aesthetics without the substance of JP Classic

I'm still flabbergasted that Tails is literally as popular amongst Sonic Team as Sonic himself. It makes some sense considering he appeared in every single meta era game besides Sonic 4 Ep 1 whose whole deal was it's lack of characters. But the way Tails was treated in a lot of these games makes me think what exactly Sonic Team likes about Tails
