Furukawa in any of his speeches
>"The goal of Nintendo is to put smiles on people's faces"
Any interview with Doug Bowser
>"The goal of Nintendo is to put smiles on people's faces".
Any CEO at Nintendo which echoes the company motto reveals that they pretend to care about something they actually don't, unlike Iwata-san or Reggie, who put their individual visions for Nintendo's company goal ahead of whatever its motto was, showing them as authentic and legitimate.

I fucking love it, and I bought a PC with an i7 14700kf, 32GB DDR5 6000mhz RAM and a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC in 2024.

I don't play anything on the PC, but it will run all PS5 games better and it would be able to emulate Switch 2 if we could, at 60fps 4K if I wanted to.

But I hate PC gaming. It sucks, and I love the Switch 2, because it makes me feel way more happy because Nintendo just does that to me.

Being premium comes with all the usual baggage
>We support LGBT and we don't discriminate against race or people's wanted gender
>Our software and hardware pricing must reflect the additions made to the... platform systems... and the...
>did you know you can use the controller like a mouse now?
>We're so proud of our fans, but we also think about how to reach people haven't become fans yet (Fuck the fans) :)
>Please check out Nintendo Music, it's an app you download, and it allows you to listen to a vast catalog of music from all your favorite Nintendo games. It's free of charge as long as you paid for Nintendo Online Premium (40 usd / annually) it's completely consumer friendly and doesn't infringe on our copyright, maybe not so friendly to SilvaGunner, heh.
>Also please buy the new Donkey Kong amiibos. We're also adding Donkey Kong 64 later to the N64 Online service, which was our console which came out in 1996, which is a Great Piece of Nintendo History (buy our N64 and Gamecube controllers for 50 USD heh)
>Nintendo just has such a great legacy, I mean. NES/Famicom, the SNES or Super Famicom, the N64, the Gameboy, the Gameboy Color, the GameCube, the DS family and Wii system, and the Switch 1, the Lite, the OLED and now the Switch 2 -- all adding fantastic value to the consumer.
>We're currently developing so much content. It's just content, content, content, and I think our headcount is well above 800 people now, and it just keeps growing :)
>We've moved all our Voice Recording to California now, it really centralizes everything for us, and makes production more efficient than ever. Who knows, Nintendo could even centralize everything to California. Worked out great for Sony, heh.

It means it's gonna go the same way Bungie did, but it's just Nintendo as an already mega-corporation becoming even more soulless.
Between the Microsoft/Bungie split they were known by hardcore gamers and mega-fans for how amazing they were, and how awesome Halo was, as well as their pre-Halo games. They had a passionate fanbase.
Then they quit, they grew and grew, and changed their company motto from "We make games that excite gamers" to "We make games that foster community and care!" and they made Destiny. And you know the rest.

Furukawa (CEO of Nintendo) says that they're not satisfied just with Nintendo fans anymore and want a "wider audience". Nintendo has already peaked, and it's going downhill.

Even if you think they can remain the same as they grow it will inevitably not happen, because the more they grow, the more talented people that liked the current environment will feel alienated and forced out of the company.

By corporate logic it's simple
>Zelda didn't used to sell much but fans loved it
>Add open world and it quadruples sales figures, and fans still love it!!!
>ADD IT TO EVERY NINTENDO FRANCHISE!!!!
>THEY'LL LOVE IT!!!!!
>MonolithSoft are EXPERTS at creating Open Worlds!
>Outsource 50% of every game to them, while their B-team makes the next Xenoblade slop!
>I'm so happy we bought this AAA developer into Nintendo!
