>I can crumble your entire argument my inventing my own subversive elf race and there's nothing anyone can do to tell me they're not actually elves
That's the thing, if it's subversive you are still constrained by the parameters of the thing you're subverting. If you were to subvert what it means to be an elf, you would have to demonstrate in what manner they deviate from the default assumption of an elf, which in and of itself means there is a sort of default assumption. Your desire for a featherless chicken to be comparable to man is not enough to make it so. You can write whatever you want, but there's a reason we don't have a lot of stories about the brave knight rescuing the thrice-divorced fat balding trans latinx from a dragon. Templates and tropes exist for a reason, and deviating from these templates should always serve a purpose. Ultimately if somebody is writing something they can, and in fact *should* write about the things they like and which interest them, otherwise they're just making a product. It just so happens that younger sisters are overwhelmingly preferred because of this.

>Not really. It's impossible to tell a girl she's big in a good way
It's hard to tell most people that something they view as a negative about themselves is actually attractive to you. Inc'est la vie.
