no, he cant do that in undertale because we have the option to save and load. in undertale the shattering soul is only a death effect, that leads to the game over screen. should you choose not to play, the monsters will have gotten your soul. maybe flowey, maybe asgore, doesn't really matter since you are dead.

it literally does. flowey and the souls work a certain way, as soon as you die, the soul appears above you. it doesn't need things like kindness or whatever to exist like monster souls which last only briefly if you are a boss. the shattering effect is a conceit toby added so he can float the refused joke. Once you refuse to reload, the soul is there for the taking. However flowey is the one in control, so the choice not to absorb the soul becomes his. lets say you favor his retarded excuse. that would mean the monsters should have ZERO souls, because all of them would have shattered. this would mean flowey effectively would not even fucking exist in the first place.
unlike redditors I dont play games to turn my brain off. I play them to engage it.
