I mean, everyone who was following the EU back in the day knows that its downfall started around the year 2006 when LucasArts had serious financial problems and had its leadership changed. That's precisely when projects like KOTOR3, Jedi Knight 3 and the unnamed Vader game got canned, and when Del Rey and Dark Horse Comics created two different versions of the Legacy era (both painfully mediocre) that were later unified into a single convoluted mess of a timelime.
It was all downhill from that point culminating in Shitsney buyout.
