Anyways, I did embedded and DSP stuff when DSP56300 was hot. That is a while ago but the skills aremain in demand, in particular in communications stuff, particularly mobile phone tech, and also in radar tech. Defence spendings are going up so expect a lot of defence tech DSP stuff.
If you want to try your hands on this and also build a portfolio, you can add more DSP stuff to /ham/ radio tech. Most digital modes are meh or bleh except from the latest modes. It kind of helps that the waveform designer sports a Nobel Prize. See >>>/diy/ham for info, a library, and a FAQ.
