I have a slightly unhinged theory that spamton mirrors the knight, and that whatever the FUCK the KNIGHT is, it was stolen from the mayor's basement. She's a confirmed hoarder with bunker access who keeps everything in her house, and the basement has bunker audio SFX, so who knows what the fuck was down there.
I think the theme of possession means it's almost certainly one of the ghosts, but it could be something else.
