I don’t like Charlie but I will commend him for actually speaking out on this. His video was pretty instrumental in getting people to sign StopKillingGames as well as shit on PirateSoftware, so hopefully this has the same effect.

No. He basically said “even if you don’t like rape and incest games, these institutions will use that power of censorship against you someday.”

I wrote out a brief script to help out anyone in need of it (including myself). More knowledgeable anons, feel free to correct anything I might have gotten wrong here. Please call your reps so these kinds of people can’t leverage your money against you:
>”Hello. I am calling to encourage your support for Senate bill S.410, the Fair Access to Banking Act. I am a resident of [state] and find the idea of politically motivated debanking incredibly concerning and want to see it regulated immediately. It’s already had an impact on personal defense (firearms), entertainment, and other forms of free expression. Those speaking out against this behavior from entities such as MasterCard and Visa have been getting deplatformed in recent days. It is unconscionable behavior that deserves scrutiny immediately.
>I would also like to add that senate bill S.1671, Interstate Obscenity enables similarly draconian censorship. Passing this bill would severely harm the values of expression S.410 seeks to uphold. Please do not support it.
>Thank you”
(You may be asked to leave your name, zip code, and phone number. Add to the script as necessary. Takes less than a minute).

Love to see threads full of summerfags born in the middle of the wagglan era, patting one another on the back in an attempt to make each other feel smart and informed.
To answer your question, OP, it’s because the faults of Nintendo are more visibly apparent to the consumer (higher prices chief among them) as compared to their competition. Issues such as draconian hiring and ownership practices (Microsoft), workplace abuse (Ubisoft + EA), etc. are way harder to get the average joe (and /v/tard) to care about, despite being arguably worse for the industry and the end consumer once things are all said and done.
The parasocial attachment people have to Iwata is fucking bizarre to me given how many issues the company still had during his days. You never see those people brining up the Nintendo ambassador program, the continued dismantling of fan projects, the persistent litigiousness against emulation, etc.
Nintendo has not changed too much since his time at the company, despite what these people would have you believe. The only differences I see are that directs aren’t boring as sin and you can upload Mario videos without getting raped by a DMCA

Would absolutely be the worst outcome. I don’t want the melodrama stuff infecting the main SU episodes.
I don’t hate the pony stuff on principle, I’m just mad that it’s basically erased SU from existence and that Tamers has been baiting us for months. I’d just appreciate if he were honest and told us what his plans for SU were.
Keeping us guessing like this is genuinely upsetting after supporting him for years. I get that he’s probably mad at SU fans for being whiny, but a loud minority really shouldn’t cause the rest of us to get totally shit on.
