I only briefly played the remasters a couple years ago. Iirc, there was an issue with Crash's jumps. It was harder to jump across pits in the remake of the first game than it was in the original. I also dislike the remakes on aesthetic grounds. Anything licensed by Activision is gonna look like doodoo.
