NTA, but there is actually plenty of potential evidence for ERAM just flat out being Dess/The Knight.
She basically fits every fact of the voice in the games.
>Knows Kris intimately
>Has been following along with our shit from the beginning
>The Mantle itself could have literally belonged to her originally since Seam may be her former doll and Noelle refuses to wear the mantle saying "No... it's for someone... taller"
>Find it literally in a virtual version of the Shelter where presumably Dess went missing/is
>Says she and Kris "both have work to do" at the end of the fight with the Knight fight happening right after
>There's some boss files in it that call the boss fight "nightmare" (probably what ERAM is referring to) which could tie back to Toby's old song "Nightmare Knight" (or simply be meant to be directly "Knight-mare"
Like, there's nothing in game that outright denies the possibility of the theory. Outside of maybe saying she's being too mean, but that may be because she's mentally fucked up from years in the Dark.

These are sweet, but I'm thinking that Dess isn't going to be so nice once we really find her.
She's going to be like Flowey was. Her time in the Dark fucked up her mind and made her merciless.
That's one part of many why I think the voice in the Sword Route games is Dess. It's the same kind of cruel and dark world view as Flowey presented in Undertale.

If you walk forward in that room, there's also text below the "BECAME STRONGER", it's just in black so you can't see it.
You run Kris over the text and it says:
>Having fun?

Had an interesting thought.
Noelle has a weird interaction coded for the Shadow Mantle. She can't equip it and says
>No... for someone taller.
The no with the ellipses is weirdly specific, like she's saddened by it. And she seems to know someone taller it's meant for.
What if the Shadow Mantle (like, whatever it REALLY is) used to belong to Dess and Noelle in that interaction recognizes it, hence her refusing to wear it?
Seam was the one that had it before it was taken. And Seam may actually have belonged to Dess before being donated to the classroom like Kris' old kid books. So the Shadow Mantle may be something else that Dess used to own as well.
