I did it without Mantle. It's harder, but if you've done it with the Mantle it's actually not much harder. You already know the patterns, just need to be more careful and take a bit less damage. Only took me like 5-10 tries I think, while first time with the mantle took way longer (especially since I didn't realize I had to do damage, I exhausted the Knight's attacks and Susie's dialogue multiple times before attacking).

I dont think anybody has made the comparison yet, but the whole December situation fucking REEKS of Kingdom Hearts, Ive only seen people make the Mother 3 comparison, and I think Im the only one brainroted enough to see the similarities with Kingdom Hearts.

Feels bad that Asgore knows about what's going on and is searching for answers but will still be punished. He obviously is trying to solve the Dess mystery. Seems like other characters are treating him like he's overly obsessed, but it's better than giving up.

I bet Toriel will stay mad at him at the end because he was aiming in the right direction but handled it poorly or something like that. Odds of Dreemurr family getting back together are nil.

Yeah Gerson had awesome dialogue but the fight itself didn't go all out on difficulty. I think it's because it's less hidden than other stuff and expected everyone will try, so it's more focused on developing Susie and the prophecy more than being a hidden challenge.

Alright so in Kingdom Hearts there is this cute neat little thing called DARKNESS that is a huge force and shit, DARKNESS is a thing you can physically interact with (you shouldnt) and a power you can use (you probably shouldnt). In Kingdom Hearts, when your heart falls to the DARKNESS (or your whole damn body) 2 things happen, your soul (heart) becomes a creature of darkness (or can just exists as its own being with conciousness depending on how edgy you are) and your hollow body keeps going as a wretched beast (and if youre particularly strong, it retains your personality and physical likeness).
My absolute crackhead triple stunt theory is that that exact thing happened to December, she found DARKNESS (posibly with Kris and Asriel somehow involved), she fought it/tried to fight it and lost, her body became the Knight (which would explain why it looks like a corpse and why it behaves so erratically while still having a sense of "self") and her soul/heart ended up trapped in the code refusing to die.

Thing is, he says that no matter which path you're on: Weird or Normal. He seems content with the idea that no matter what we'll get to what he wants. He's content with sitting back and WAITING. We'll see him at the end of the road no matter what.

Which is why I think actually the secret boss stuff isn't his doing. He doesn't care if we do it or not. But what if instead one of his servants is the one that set all that up? You never made me do anything against my will, I was feeling the same things you did. I want you back with me and will kill your current host to make that happen."

This whole thing about the player making characters do things against their will has been present in Toby's works since the Halloween Hack, and I'd like to see him examine it further in the form of a character who was both aware of you and willing to go along with you because they genuinely liked being with you.
