Yeah you're a no-marketing pseud. I don't even know where to start you're retarded. For one, the reason ads have shifted approach is that middle income consumers are so overly spoiled for choice that signaling attachment to values is the primary driver for purchases. Everything from the food you eat (organic or GMO? Walmart or Trader Joe's?) to the clothes you wear (Nike or Asics? Hollister or Nordstrom?) to your goddamn computer (PC or Mac? iPhone or Android?) is more about who you want others to believe you are more than any value the product brings. You could buy $25 pair of shoes that will last you the year and look ok, or you could spend $90 because Nike communicated to others that you're the kind of person who is sporty, interested in shoes as culture, or like hip hop. This is the way companies fight for market share now, by being aligned with consumer value, because most of their offerings are just as good as the next, and only so many people will make a purchase for a niche use case like hardware comparability. This isn't true if the consumer is purely price sensitive, in which case they buy whatever the fuck is on sale at Walmart that day. Can't you see how much easier it is to sell on consumer identity than chase cheaper manufacturing cost? There's no tricks, there's no 'Pillsbury added an egg to cake mix formula and suddenly it sold more' bullshit you goddamned fool. They added the egg because the freshness tastes better, and women buy Pillsbury because it's what their mother bought and it brings them fond memories of treats enjoyed with family, and that's entirely associated with that little 'hoo-hoo' the pudgey bastard utters. Edgy wannabe dip shit.

I wouldn't say Char is meant to be a hippie. Especially not in CCA. And if he's not an overman, he is certainly meant as a "bridge to the overman"
