Underworld seemed to help for me, no meme. Least with the PAWS. What all did you guys listen to in order to get in a better headspace?

Or ask. Whatever. Years ago I saw a video, I think on youtube, about a guy who is a heroin addict in secret. Like, he goes to work, has a relatively good paying job, but hides his heroin addiction. At one point he was shooting up in his bathroom at home. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or is that too vague?

I have pretty insane anxiety. It makes it hard for me to be alone with my own thoughts. I talk a lot, and have a tendency to interrupt. I can also be pretty mean. As a result, I used drugs and alcohol to paper over my bad tendencies. What can I do to further choose life, and increase my social skills, so that I don't fall back into addiction? If I relapse I'll probably die, and I just want to have a good life.

Anon, watch trainspotting and tell me if being an addict seems fun to you. I've gone through heroin withdrawals. A lot of these drugs are agony to come off of, and they mess up you up for months or even years afterwards to boot. Like mentally insane type stuff, depression, anxiety. If you think you are lost and rudderless now, I can tell you for certain it will be 100x worse when you finally come off of everything in 10 years' time. If you even live that long that is.

Along with some other stuff it turned me into a heroin addict. Luckily I'm clean now, however.

How did you do it? I straight up just do not have 7-9 days to come off of this stuff. I have a few days of leave from work (which I am going to have to spend with my parents) and the weekends, before a big work trip in a few months. Is this even feasible? I've tried doing cold turkey every weekend, and gotten my dose down to half of what it was a month or two ago. But I feel as if the worst is yet to come. Thoughts?
