I used to play Dota too. Also, lol at "when you were a NEET".

>difficulty setting diminish discussion and there longevity by removing shared experience between players

I disagree. I played a game all my life that had one difficulty: Hard, and if a game is hard, people just don't play it. It's not like they struggle and learn it. If they did, then I could have talked to /v/ about Dota 2, but nobody ever played it.

Look at my Dota play time. I've been on 4chan a very long time. When you report, you're fighting stupid people. You fight them long enough, and you find out their numbers are infinite.

>people who play LoL are pretty open about how much they hate it, too

That's because of engagement matchmaking or whatever it's called. I'm willing to believe it's an actual thing after reading the description. Apparently, the matchmaking in MOBAs is designed to make you want to keep playing. That means win streaks and lose streaks. That's how people become addicted. When a person is addicted, they'll do something whether it's fun or not.

Maybe they were abandoned because it's not profitable. If you keep playing a game for a long time, they don't make any extra money beyond your initial purchase. That's why microtransactions are a thing now.

>i think starting discussions like this one "look guys is not so bad, you aren't poor, right?" is what an actual corporative shill would do

Then you're just paranoid. Would a corporate shill have 10,000 hours in Dota 2? No, and the last 4channer does. I think this food vs video games comparison is really good because you can actually spend the price of a video game on food, and it's not even hard.
Companies may see this and think "haha, so people will gladly pay for games". Wrong. Gamers will just remember that they can buy food instead, and so people will buy less games.

As someone who not only spend all his time gaming but spent it most playing one thing, I don't regret it at all. I don't like being outside and being around other people. When I was in high school, I'd sit by myself because I didn't get along with anyone. That means video games gave me something to do during my boring ass life. This image here: >>714678517
is what the modern world is like, and that's why some people (like myself) just chose to Quit Game on society.

Only NEETs want a forever game. It's because when you have infinite time, you don't mind a game that you can play forever. When I'm dead, I'll probably be playing Dota 2 in the afterlife. However, I'll finally have people to play with.
If you don't have a forever game, you just didn't look hard enough.

>game is there for 3 hours

Is it? Game was there for 10,000 hours for me, and it didn't cost money. You should think about that. Piracy is just like playing a F2P game.

Play some Dota 2. If you do, then we can talk about the game.
