that's fair then but desu i'm happy to trade that for the world of elden ring, there are 4 titles to do that with souls combat available and sekiro for flavor
idk why this board recently has turned on the open-world concept so much, it can be done poorly (ubisoft) or well (botw, er)
my personal opinion is these people didn't endure 15+ years of murder hallway shooters and just want something new, even if its more of the same thing from several decades ago, which itself is fine but not what i personally want
this retarded board needs to stop putting their entire personality into which of any series is their "favorite" (not just dark souls) and why that "makes them smarter/better/etc." than the people who enjoy the other titles

he has like 4 attacks which cause an aoe ground slam and fissures most of which aren't based on people's position
the ones that are, what you do want melee to do, perfectly positing themselves for the 0.2 seconds he's in melee range but isn't on top of you?
the entire fight is designed around stupid poise-breaking comp of 2+ raiders or ranged, if you dont run it the fight is a giant slog
its poor design across the board, i dont play this boss anymore either

Pretty horrible when I tried it once in DS3.

I thought it was just lag so looked it up and no, this is completely normal and has nothing to do with latency, its actually the netcode of the game.
After that I've always play in offline mode in every from game. I still like fighting bosses with people and am having a lot of fun with nightreign.
The whole fiasco that seamless caused with completely destroying the pvp scene was hilarious. Between that and weapon/level matching actually killing twinks in ER, it did more good for the souls formula than any previous title, despite some of the game's flaws.

nightreign hides a lot of lore moreso than the base game or dlc, also its clearly either so far in the future or different timeline it doesnt apply much to the base game beyond a few key revelations

the only thing i autoquit on is if someone picks bird
im not carrying you through the map while you do 0 damage

this is why i just use cheat engine and give myself the starting equipment i want and enough runes to hit level ~40 so i can level End enough to wear my fashion
ng+1 is horribly balanced in favor of the player and too many really fun builds require dlc armor/spells/weapons to work properly
